Hello all you readers out there! I am Really excited about today’s matchup, as we have got our Second Cartoon Network VS Nickelodeon rivalry fight! A while back we settled a battle of these Networks premier Boy Geniuses, but today it’s time for an epic showdown between the 2 best Ninja Superheroes in their multiverse! Misty the teenage ninja superhero from My Life as a Teenage Robot, and Enid the store clerk ninja sorcerer from OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes! I’m Thor Gundersen and it’s time for another Death Prediction.
Background:
Misty:
Born on another planet in a totally different galaxy to our own, the alien girl known only as Misty always felt like an outsider. Living with no parents, no money and an unconventional love of martial arts and ninja lifestyle, Misty ran away from her world to travel the stars.
Misty wasn’t alone in this decision and found two other teenage aliens named Orion and Squish who also didn’t fit anywhere, it wasn’t long before the three became friends. Together these three decided to form their very own intergalactic Superhero Group for hire. They would travel to planets and get paid money to use their natural alien powers to help those in need, rescuing people, stopping villains, the works. And they would call this superhero group of teens, The Teen Team! ….man they did not plan that name for the long game did they?
Anyway under The Teen Team, Misty took up the superhero alias, The Illusive Mistery, and becoming the cool wise and mysterious member of the team, coming up with strategies and taking foes down with her well mastered ninja skills.
Together these 3 roamed around the universe until they found themselves on Earth, where they met that world's very own Superhero Teen, Jenny Wakeman.
Jenny of course being a Robot in a human society related very strongly to the Teen Teams outsider bonds, and after a brief initiation, The Teen Team brought her on as an official member stationed on Earth.
Misty in particular took a very strong liking to Jenny, finally having a Gal-Pal to talk with about everything from fighting crime to cute boys. The two got along great and helped each other out from time to time.
Eventually, The Teen Team broke up as a result of Orion finding a new passion for Ballet, prompting Misty to return to Earth to hang with Jenny and start her own Solo Hero for Hire career.
Misty enrolled in Jenny’s school and made the place significantly more fun for Jenny but after getting into a Prank War with the Crust Cousins Misty got kicked out of the place.
That's not something to stop her though, Misty traveled around the world and spent a lotta time Meditating in Jersey to refine her ninja skills and do some Hero for Hire work.
After returning to Tremorton, Misty started saving the town from every possible problem that arose before Jenny could, causing Jenny to get out of practice with her Crime Fighting while she took a vacation. But when Tremorton, who was used to Jenny saving them for free, wouldn’t pay her for her hero services she stopped saving them.
This leads to Misty and Jenny having a falling out, Misty not wanting to risk her life protecting people who don’t appreciate her enough to support her and Jenny in disbelief at her choosing not to help people who need it if they won’t pay. Afterward Misty flew off to another town in pursuit of her Hero for Hire business. Because of this a lot of people think Misty to be a villain, but I have to say I don’t agree, Misty has a temper sure but ultimately she is a good person. She simply wants to make a living doing what she loves as a hero, it is not her obligation to save a town that won’t pay her any more than it is for a police officer to do so after being laid off. NTM it wasn’t like she was abandoning an undefended one either, Tremorton has Jenny, and when Misty saw Jenny struggling she still stepped in and helped, Jenny was the one who started the actual fight that resulted from this argument.
True to her Ninja ways, Misty puts on a very calm and cool demeanor and is often zen and wise. Underneath all of that though Misty is a very loyal friend and fun loving teenage girl who likes to joke around and make mischievous comments. Misty is sweet, peppy and flirty and likes training, hanging out, exploring the wonders of the world and far reaches of space, meditation, talking about cute boys with Jenny and gossip in general.
Misty however can be a bit hot headed, often overconfident in herself and easily angered when someone is trying to make her mad. She doesn't like being told what to do or being made to look weak, and will seek vengeance when wronged to ensure she has the last laugh. Misty doesn’t care too much what others think of her as she knows full well who she is. Yet one of the fastest ways to make her upset is to betray her trust, which both the other Teen Team members and Jenny ended up doing when they grew apart from her.
Enid:
In the section of the world known as The Neutral Zone, a young Ninja Hero lives inside of a Spooky Haunted Mansion. Now that may seem like an odd place for a Ninja to live, but this girl was no ordinary ninja, she’s actually...
A Witch. Enid Mettle was born to a hot Vampire and Werewolf couple, named Wilhamena and Bernard Mettle, as a Witch, a race of magical creatures that appear human.
To hone her Spooky Witch powers, Enid’s parents sent her to Miss Grimwood’s Finishing School for Ghouls.
YES, it is the one from Scooby Doo, and Enid made friends with all the girls. Despite this however Enid was never into all this spooky Halloween stuff, and felt an emptiness in what she was doing there. She would constantly be reading about Ninja’s and practicing martial arts in secret, as that was her true interest.
Enid’s identity crisis between wanting to do what she loved, wanting to do what’s expected and wanting to be seen as cool drove her stir crazy and eventually made her Leave Ghoul School.
Enid transferred to public school, which was full of a bunch of different people from all different walks of life and gave her the perfect opportunity to reinvent herself as what she loved, A Ninja.
Happy about her new situation Enid seriously dedicated herself to her Ninja training refining it to an art, Attaining a Level 3 Hero Ranking and almost getting into The prestigious P.O.I.N.T. Prep Hero academy on skill alone.
Fresh outta High School, Enid got a job at Lakewood Plaza Turbo in Gar’s Bodega, a job that was a mix between a Storeclerk and a Hero intern under the powerful Level 11 Hero Manager, Mr. Gar.
Here Enid also met her 2 Best Friend’s Rad and K.O. Who helped her become more comfortable with herself and show her parents that Ninja’s can be Spooky too.
From there Enid spent a lot of time with her friends, Defending the Bodega from evil Boxmore Robots, working as a DJ and going on all sorts of adventures.
Eventually this led to her being accepted into the P.O.I.N.T. Prep hero academy, which helped her rise from a Level 3 hero to a Level 5 hero and take Mr. Gar’s place on secret hero missions to protect the Earth.
And after all that she became more open with her Witch side and hermitage, reconnecting with her old monster friends. As being comfortable with her witch side won’t make her any less a Ninja.
She went to Witch College at Luna Nova…..yes that one, and became pretty much the most potent spell caster there.
And when all was said and done she started an Awesome Magic-Cyber-Ninja Fitness Dojo with her Wife, Red Action, training future heroes.
Enid is a heroic and fun loving girl who loves to play it cool and try new and exciting things. She enjoys DJ-ing, making goofy movies with her friends, training, going on crazy adventures through the Danger Zone, and generally hanging out and playing it cool. While her want to explore new things left her unsure of what she wanted to do with her life, as she put it “I’m a witch who wants to be a ninja, who kinda wants to be a hero, who works in a convenient store”, with the help of her friends she learned not to worry about that and just be herself and do what makes her happy.
Of their team Enid is generally the most levelheaded, responsible and mature, playing peacemaker and taking situations seriously. Although she does often have a fiery snarky attitude that can make her act rashly when pushed too far, overall Enid is a great and caring friend and a loyal hero, ready to save the day.
Intellect & Skill:
Misty:
Misty is a master of numerous ancient ninja disciplines and is an extremely skilled warrior who regularly calms her mind with meditation, creating an intense focus that lets her disconnect from distraction and allow herself to slip into the environment and hide in shadows like a true ninja, giving her high stealth and determination to use in combination with her martial arts mastery.
While we do not know what Alien Martial Art Misty is a master of, one thing is for sure, she is insanely skilled at it. Misty’s skill is able to effortlessly outclass even Jenny, a fighting robot who has every form of hand to hand combat known to a futuristic mankind downloaded into herself.
Not only was she easily able to take Jenny aback with her skills, but she was even able to briefly defend against Jenny while she was attacking her with 11 limbs at once.
Misty is also a master of Pressure Point combat, she Knows the pressure points of every alien species, robots like Jenny, and of course, humans. Her pressure point attacks are so potent, that with just a single tap she can fully stiffen all of a person's muscles causing instant full body paralysis for Hours.
Also Misty’s heightened senses give her crazy Anti-Stealth, to the point she was able to immediately see and fight Infrared Ivan, a monster who is completely invisible to everything but Infrared vision.
Enid:
Enid is a VERY Quick witted and adaptable fighter who has been training all her life in martial arts, she has mastered numerous fighting styles from Traditional Japanese ones like Ninjutsu and Kendo to more western ones like Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts, making her a very well rounded fighter. Her training also has given her extremely high Stamina, able to fight dozens of different foes in a back to back bracket without slowing down.
Enid’s skill was enough to not only get her into the prestigious P.O.I.N.T. Prep superhero academy, but be the first person to defeat all three class heads in her entrance exam and quickly move to the top ranks. Enid can quickly pick up on the weaknesses of strange foes with complex powers, was able to detect when her friends were spying on her, and can use stealth to out maneuver and score hits on her opponents, like Elodie who was one Level higher than her at the time they fought.
Her mental powers are enough to allow her body to move while her mind is trapped in a videogame, and she was the first person to solve a complex riddle in the Intelligence class of P.O.I.N.T. Prep. Enid, as a Witch, is also Very knowledgeable in the art of Magic, she can identify all sorts of magic and get out of magic based traps. She was able to outsmart the ancient Genie, Twisty, and create a wish she couldn't twist to her own mischief. Plus Enid’s willpower was strong enough to power through Wally the White’s transmutation spell.
Lastly, Enid also went through intense Fear Resistance training where she had to repeatedly face her greatest fears in order to boost her Fear Resistance Stats.
Powers:
Misty:
Misty is a type of Alien species called Phantom Mist, which normally resides within a completely different galaxy to our own.
Due to her Phantom Mist biology, Misty is able to persist in any environment, including outer space, as they can resist cosmic radiation and do not need to breathe. However, Phantom Mist’s do still need to eat, drink and rest like humans.
Phantom Mist’s, true to their name, have the same density and mass as Mist itself, and as such are able to interact with the world around them much differently.
This allows them to Walk on Water and Sit on Clouds as if they were made of fully solid material, as they cannot simply walk through those like we do.
And they can take this even further allowing them to both levitate and fly even through outer space with total ease. However this is far from the Best thing they can do with their properties.
- Mist Form:
The Mist form is the primary and most versatile ability both Misty and her species has, allowing her to turn her entire body into a floating ghostly form composed of a Mist-like substance.
Misty is able to convert both her entire body or even just individual parts of herself into this mist at once,
As well as shapeshift it’s form and viscosity, allowing it to stretch itself, grow to enormous size, take on the form of objects and animals,
And become solid enough to lift and interact with solid objects and be used as a cushion.
Being composed of this mist, Misty gains logia to absorb attacks by letting them pass harmlessly through herself, and can even largely increase the moisture in the air around her.
Although just like her solid form, water is something she can't phase through and will latch onto her form like it does anything else.
Shifting back and forth allows Misty to use one of her most broken techniques, Mist Regeneration, which allows her to instantly heal herself of all damage simply by turning herself to mist and back again.
This healing ability was broken enough to let her immediately get up after having all her bones and organs broken and twisted into knots, and it’s extremely likely this would even let her reattach severed body parts.
This is because Misty's logia mist form is able to completely disperse itself to practically nothing into the surrounding environment and reassemble itself at will, as well as use these severed particles to manipulate the environment around her like a poltergeist.
It is also through this she can use Mist Teleportation, which lets her teleport short distances by manifesting her body in different locations via mist.
But then we get to the best part, see Misty’s mist form doesn’t just let her turn Logia intangible, but actually Intangible as well. The mist forms intangibility is unique because rather than existing on the astral plane, it exists on the psychic (mental) plane. While this yields her the advantages common of intangibility like phasing through walls and attacks, it has an added bonus.
Misty can phase into people’s minds and psychically interact with their thoughts. This lets her read her foes mind, communicate with them and tells her all their weaknesses and fears.
This ability works on any creature that has a mind or thought, even Artificially Intelligent robots.
And she can even make her victims experience emotions, give them horrible traumatic nightmares or trap them in an illusion of their worst fears.
Enid:
As a witch, Enid seems to draw power from this magical corn deity called Cob. Through this Enid has a natural affinity for magic and has mastered a great deal of witch spells,
Such as flying on a broomstick, or controlling plants and turning them into monsters to attack her foes.
Also as a witch, Enid’s physical body is able to physically interact with ghosts, generate banshee like scream attacks,
And even in some instances interact with the 4th wall itself. But the best thing Enid’s witch heritage does for her is make her a NATURAL at Ninja magic. Enid has a larger more varied and potent arsenal of powers than any other Ninja in the entire OK KO series, and that’s saying something, her ninja powers include:
- Power Kicks:
Enid’s primary attack is her patented Power Kick, the power kick allows her to blast incredibly powerful Fire Constructs out of her feet. These blasts are highly potent and hit harder the more damaging her physical kicks would be, which caused Enid to work her legs to Chun Li levels of thickness, and change from Naruto style ninja shoes to badass Cowgirl boots.
Enid has incredible accuracy with her power kicks, able to expertly ricochet them off walls and cut a bunch of ingredients in midair so they fall to form a perfectly constructed Sandwich. She is able to fire up to 3 Of these projectiles from a single kick, use the fire to propel herself like rocket thrusters and even generate a circle of fire around herself.
- Body Replacement Technique:
Another common technique, Enid’s body replacement technique is the most versatile ability in her entire arsenal and one of her greatest defenses. In practice this ability allows Enid to replace her entire body with a log and appear in a different location, this allows her to avoid attacks at the last second and get out of holds,
As well as teleport short distances away, roughly the range of a city block in fact. But the power is much more versatile than just that.
Enid can also use it to create dozens of illusionary Clones of herself that turn into logs upon being hit,
Instantly change outfits via teleporting new clothes onto herself,
And she’s even able to physically turn herself INTO a Log for surprise attacks and to be used as ammo.
- Smoke Manipulation:
To add extra stealth Enid can summon a large amount of purple smoke to cover the immediate area.
- Ice Breath:
Due to Enid’s cool personality, she developed the ninja ability of Ice Breath. This ability allowed her to instantly freeze a massive energy absorbing logia beast that even much more powerful hero’s couldn’t figure out how to beat.
- Autumn Breeze:
Pretty simple power, she can make a large pile of leaves to break hers and others fall.
- Shadow Jutsu:
In a great unity of her spooky Witch and mysterious Ninja powers, Enid’s Shadow Jutsu Technique is her most powerful and diverse offensive power, useful in practically any situation. Enid can use this to make gigantic shadow beings under her control, these Shadows can morph their bodies into anything, hit on higher planes, expose people to their fears and are extremely powerful.
Enid can spread her shadow from her body to act as long extensions of herself to grab things from far away, or make Shadow Traps, which bind anyone who steps on them in restraining darkness.
There's also Enid’s Spy Shadow technique, where she sends her shadow away from her body as a Spy, Enid is able to both See and Hear everything this shadow does, while still being fully aware of her own surroundings.
The shadow technique is also really good for defense, Enid can intake herself and others into the shadow, becoming one with it and giving logia, and she can even use it to teleport.
- Tornado Finger:
A more specific subset of the Shadow Jutsu power, Enid turns it into a large tornado powerful enough to trap the possessed Rad and KO.
- Soul Manipulation:
Lastly, in a power Enid seemed to inherit from her mother, she can suck peoples souls out of their bodies and eat them, as well as give them back if she so chooses. While she seems to only be able to use this when very frustrated, it is seriously dangerous.
Weapons & Equipment:
Misty:
Misty carries a large amount of Shurikens to use as throwing weapons, she is extremely accurate with these, able to throw multiple at once and pin people to walls by their clothing.
Misty also carries her trusty Nunchucks to use in close range combat, she is very proficient with these as well.
Enid:
Enid’s ninja weapon of choice is the Kuni. Enid always carries a Kuni on a Rope as the tie to her ponytail, allowing her to quickly access it as a grappling hook, binding device or weapon. She also carries a few regular kuni on her person as throwing weapons.
Feats:
Misty:
Strength:
- Is casually strong enough to lift large vehicles and buildings.
- Misty also easily scales to Jenny, constantly being portrayed as equals and even directly kicking her ass in a fight on one occasion, so how powerful is Jenny?
Well in just the the first episode of the series (as well as the original pilot) Jenny was powerful enough to violently fragment an enormous asteroid that was going to destroy the Earth.
Based on shots showing this meteor compared to the Earth, this rock is almost the exact same size as our Moon, meaning it has similar Gravitational Binding Energy and seems to be traveling roughly Mach 300 but was shattered to pieces at Relativistic speed. Overpowering the Kinetic Energy of the Meteor would come out to 144 Zetatons, overpowering it's GBE would be 28 Exatons, and violently shattering it at such speeds would be 7.9 Ninatons, added together for a total of 8,000 Yottatons of TNT. And Jenny only got stronger from this point thanks to numerous upgrades, even tanking the shockwave of a blast that was specifically meant to destroy the Earth.
- Misty was also able to Daze the Moleverine with a single kick, and that monster was able to tank Jenny’s laser shots like nothing in a previous episode.
Durability:
- Misty is also tough enough to endure full powered hits from Jenny meaning her durability is similar to her physical power at Large Planet Level.
Speed:
- Misty again, has been able to go toe to toe with Jenny Wakeman and numerous of her foes, she has even directly outflown her and blitzed her on multiple occasions, so we must look at how Fast Jenny is. As mentioned before, Jenny in the very first ep could fly into orbit rapidly and fly around relativistic meteors like nothing, and later in that same season could deliver all of Santa’s christmas presents in only 80 seconds, a speed feat of 8 times the speed of light, but honestly those are casual.
Jenny was able to fly a planet destroying monster into a completely different Galaxy, and then, physically fly from a planet in that Galaxy back to Earth in time for a dinner she was late to. The Closest galaxy to Earth is Andromeda, which is a distance of 2.5 Million Lightyears away, assuming it took her a full hour to fly this distance, she would be traveling over 22 Billion times the speed of light.
- Was born in a totally different galaxy, as was her team, yet can fly this distance physically.
- Is consistently able to keep up with The Amazing Orion, who is established to be even faster than Jenny.
General:
- Has saved people and planets all over the Galaxy.
- Mastered Numerous different Martial Arts.
- Was an esteemed Member of the Powerful Teen Team.
- Effortlessly defeated more than half of Jenny’s entire Rogues’ gallery.
- Directly defeated Jenny herself.
- Is officially too cool for school.
Enid:
Strength:
- Enid is a Level 5 Hero, meaning she scales past the feats of lower level heroes like Rad, who at level 2 was able to blow up an entire mountain in one shot,
and later at Level 4 was able to shake hands with his grandpa with such force it created a shockwave that made a massive continent sized crack across Planet X.
- Was able to beat up tons of different Boxmore bots and redirect missiles with a kick.
- Enid and her crew have been shown being able to fight Cosma the space Villain,
Cosma is large and powerful enough to eat entire planets in a single gulp.
And even in her smaller form she was casually able to grab a bunch of missiles, which were previously established to only be island level, and telekinetically fling them into the moon with enough force to violently shatter it.
- In one of her fights with Cosma, Enid was able to directly drag a moon at relativistic speeds on her bike and slam it into her stomach, which Cosma still was able to endure. This feat would equal a kinetic energy of over 42,000 Yottatons.
Durability:
- When Enid was only a Level 3 hero she was easily able to Tank the impact of a City Busting Meteorite.
- Stood in Radioactive Fire Completely Unaffected.
- She was able to take a direct hit from Cosma in her giant form that flung her through space into a Moon.
- Tanked numerous Energy Arrows from Elodie, who was stronger than her at the time.
- Also in her fight with Cosma, Enid along with her then comparable friend KO got flung into a Black Hole. While they didn’t make it to the center they were clearly being sucked into the event horizon meaning they were being exposed to its gravity. The size of this Black Hole is a bit hard to judge but it is clearly at least the size of a room, and it should be noted that a black hole, even the size of a person, would still need mass exceeding that of Saturn.
Enid and KO were able to overpower the gravitational pull with their sheer physical structure, despite it concentrating all the gravity of a large planet on them, making for easily large planet level dura.
Speed:
- Even as a level 3 hero has Dodged around lightning on multiple occasions.
- Moved so fast a Meteor from Space appeared to move in slow motion compared to her, also as a level 3.
- Upon becoming a Level 5 Hero Enid was finally fast enough for Mr. Gar to give her her space cycle, which she immediately and casually piloted from Earth all the way to Planet X in under 1 minute. Planet X is located in the X Nebula, which could be based off the Hubble-X Nebula which is a distance of 1500 lightyears from Earth, but for lowballing we’ll use the Helix Nebula, the closest Nebula to Earth, which is 700 lightyears away, which traveling to in 1 minute would require speeds of 394,200,000 times the speed of light.
- Enid also scales to Cosma, who not only could fight Enid on said bike but made the same trip the Bike did physically in an instant, meaning Enid must be able to fight at speeds 60 times faster or 2.3 Billion times the speed of light.
- She was also able to move fast enough to escape from a Black Hole, which requires speeds greatly exceeding light.
General:
- Was the First person in the history of point prep to defeat all 3 teacher's heads in initiation.
- Defeated Elodie, Rad, Darrell, Cosma and numerous other powerful characters back to back.
- Managed to outpace TKO for a long time.
- With the Help of Red Action was able to fight off the Hue Troop, despite being outnumbered 2 to 1.
- Has helped save the entire universe numerous times.
Weaknesses:
Misty:
Misty for as great as her Mist Form is is not a perfect ability as she needs to take on solid form inorder to attack her foes, and even when using it for defense certain things like water and even wind current are still able to effect her, Misty can also be quite vengeful and quick to anger when made mad, which has caused her to get tunnel vision and make rash or reckless actions in the past, she is also not very good at diplomacy.
Enid:
Enid is often overconfident in her abilities to the point of attempting to rush into fights to look awesome and cool, this is also part of a mask she uses to hide her insecurities of not thinking she is good enough to be a hero, which can sometimes lead her to mess up when she shouldn’t. While she's been working to improve herself in this aspect, her identity crisis between being a Witch, Ninja and Hero is something she's struggled with immensely.

Battle:
The sun rose on another beautiful day at Lakewood Plaza Turbo as the young Ninja Hero Enid groggily opened up Gar’s Bodega for the day and walked in.
From the yellow sky, a beam of pink light suddenly shot down to the ground in a puff of pink smoke as a space ninja stood tall.
“Ah finally, I've been really looking forward to visiting this planet, adventures, hero’s, and more bad guys that need stopping than I can count! Welcome to easy street.” Misty said as she stretched and looked around.
Suddenly the sky turned black for a second, as a box from the Evil Boxmore factory across the street dropped into the parking lot. Enid looked out the window uninterested, “meh, can’t they wait until after lunch.” Misty on the other hand saw the box and prepared for anything.
The box suddenly exploded and the Evil Robot Darrell stepped out firing into the air and laughing maniacally, “Greetings, Bodega Bratz! I’m here to-“
He was suddenly interrupted by Misty pouncing on him. “HE-YA!” She said as she punched him in the face, kicked him into the air, picked up a a car and tossed it at him, hitting him and crashing it right through the front of the store, destroying Enid’s counter and knocking her down.
Enid popped back up and saw the massive damage.
“O-Oh My Cob! Mr. Gar is Gonna Pop a Vain! What’s the matter with you?!” She called to Misty as she leapt from the store.
“Ooo, my B, sorry about that buddy, but hey atleast that robot is stopped! I’ll tell you what, since this is my first heroic deed here I’ll put it on the house.” She gives a light punch on the arm.
“Oh, your doing this for free, soree I didn’t know how generous you were being, Not. We had the situation under control, and now you have to fix this.” Enid says pointing to the mess of the storefront.
“Hey I didn’t see you springing into action, and if it gets attacked so much then why isn’t it crash proof, if you think about it it’s your fault.” Misty complained.
“We normally don’t have amatures swooping in and stealing wins to try and get cash” Enid retorted crossing her arms.
“Who you calling Amateur?! I’m a professional intergalactic hero for hire, not some storeclerk in ninja cosplay!” Misty said in anger.
Enid’s head steamed and she smashed her foot down and pointed towards Misty. “That’s IT! I Challenge You, to a POWER BATTLE!"
A crowd of early risers turned towards them at the sound of a Power Battle as Misty glared. “Heh, you’re on...” Misty said as she spread out her legs and got into a fighting stance. Enid slid her leg behind herself and brought her arms up in a similar stance. The two ninjas slowly inched together as silence befell the lot..
FIGHT!
Suddenly they both threw a powerful punch with their fists colliding, making a gigantic shockwave that blew back the entire crowd.
Misty turns, spinning towards Enid trying to elbow her in the head, but Enid ducks underneath and attempts to uppercut her in the face. At light speed, Misty leans out of the path of Enid’s fist and does several backflips away. Enid charges forward and throws a series of powerful blows at Misty but the elusive ninja manages to deflect and avoid every single one.
Seeing an opening Misty suddenly jumps up with her flight powers and bicycle-kicks Enid, striking her numerous times across the face with her feet and driving her back.
Suddenly. Misty’s Kick was stopped dead as Enid grabbed her leg, “Ha. You Call That A KICK?!” Enid said as she pulled Misty down while her own leg caught on fire, and she kicked Misty square in the gut, blasting her dozens of meters away, through a tree and into a brick wall.
Enid smirked, “well, least she wasn’t that tough” Misty on the other hand opened her eyes “That...” her body suddenly turned to mist and back again, completely free of all battle damage, “...was a Mist-ake”
By the time Enid turned around, Misty was already on top of her and kicked her square in the gut, knocking her backwards, before throwing a powerful right hook. Enid raised her forearm into the path of her fist to block but as she did Misty’s arm suddenly turned to mist, phased through Enid’s arm, rematerialized and punched Enid square in the nose in one solid motion.
Enid’s head shot back in pain as Misty grabbed her hair and pulled her head down and collided with Misty’s knee, and followed that up with a front kick to her sternum, sending her into the dirt, the sheer force of the blows and mist in the air stirring up a grey cloud covering over the sky.
Enid suddenly hopped back to her feet, “Neat Trick” she said as she made a series of hand gestures and summoned a thick purple smoke screen around them, which she vanished into.
“Oh please, you think you can fool me with that old trick” Misty said as Enid jumped with a flying power kick from behind, only for Misty’s torso to turn to mist and her leg to start to pass through.
In slow motion Enid watched Misty’s arm turn into a giant clawed Mist Hand, “Game Over” she said as she stabbed all its fingers into Enid’s torso. Suddenly Enid’s form poofed away revealing Misty’s fingers stuck in a small log.
“WHAT? Err!” She said in anger as she clenched her fist and the log exploded.
Enid teleported on top of the building, collecting herself. “This is nuts, I’ve never seen any magic like this before....is she even Using Any?”
“Nope” Enid heard as Misty suddenly materialized behind her.
“Oh Zoinks” was all she could say before Misty kicked her skyward, she then flew up to her at high speeds and knocked her into a nearby pond.
Underwater Enid looks up to see Misty land on the surface of the water, standing on it as if concrete, I don't know whats up with this chick, but I'm not letting her win. Enid thought as she rocketed up to the surface for a punch, but Misty deflected and she fell back underwater. Enid flew a flurry of punches and kicks above the surface while her body floated underneath while Misty, in a scene that looked as though she was breakdancing on top of splashing water, managed to knock away every single one.
Before long Enid popped her head out and gasped in a breath, only for Misty to Punch her in the side of the face. But when Misty tried to pull her arm back, Enid grabbed her sleeve with her teeth and yanked Misty into the waters surface which she slammed into like it was stone and Enid rocketed her upward with a Double Power Kick so hot it vaporized the entire pond!
Enid watched the damaged Misty again turn her body into Mist to heal her injuries, but when Misty's form reached the clouds it bounced off it like it was solid rather than passing through. "Huh, so That's it" Enid said allowed while the now Healed Misty rocketed back down for another assault.
Enid quickly reached into her hair and pulled out her Kuni and tossed it at Misty, who turned into her mist form and let it pass through her, only for it to wrap around a Water tower behind her. Enid pulled, breaking the structure to pieces as a wave of water rushed towards Misty while Enid brought her fingers to her mouth and blew a enormous wave of cold towards her from the other direction.
With no time to spare, Misty dove out of the way as the ice collided with the water behind her freezing it into a iceberg. Enid kicked three fire projectiles towards Misty that she let pass through her to no effect, but after they passed through they ricochetted off the surroundings and collided with the ice block, Flash Evaporating it and blanketing the area on fog.
"Er, how did you?" Misty said as she struggled to move, as if she was having to punch through a wall with every motion, even when she turned solid while Enid slowly approached.
"Funny thing about Fog, is it's just a cloud on the ground, and it lasts a lot longer than Mist" Enid said as she Kicked Misty Hard in the face.
She thinks she's so tough, I'll show her how weak she Really is. Misty thought as she suddenly turned into mist and phased herself into Enid's foot.
"Wait, What the What? AH" Enid said as she grasped her head, a pink smokey mask appearing over her face.
Enid suddenly found herself with her Friends Rad and K.O.
"Hey Enid, ready to go Volcano Surfing?" Rad said holding a board. "We got Chocolate Lava Ice cream" K.O. added excited. Enid smiled "huh, yeah su-Actually No, I'm way to Cool to have fun...." interrupted a poser younger Enid stepping out of her form to her shock. "yeah I'm gonna go practice Katana alone in the woods", "or maybe do some spooky Hocus Pocus so people accept me" Said a nerdy ninja and witch her also stepping out. The background turned black as time slowed.
"I though you were cool Enid..." K.O. said turning and running away. "Enid, i didn't know you were such a loser" Rad said in a harsh tone as everything spun...
Tears formed on Enid's eyes before going back in, and she opened her eyes, angry. "Nice Try..." Enid said getting up as everything shattered around her, revealing the fog yet again.
"WHAT?!" Misty called, shocked at her fear illusion breaking.
"I admit, it was a good effort, But Do you Want to see something Really Scary?" Enid's eyes suddenly glowed purple under the mask, a long dark shadow extended from her form into the distance as a giant dark Tornado formed, sucking in everything around it. The mask on Enid's face disappeared as Misty's form was sucked out of her and pulled into the tornado.
Misty turned herself solid again and forced her way out of the tornado, flying straight into the ground, then got knocked back by Enid's banshee scream as Enid floated up seeping with rage. "I'm Ending this, Now" Enid said with a snap. Misty felt something happening to her but she couldn't tell what, she felt weak and sick as she saw a small glowing light in her body start to rise up to her mouth. She gasped and choked the closer it got and at the last possible moment she turned into her Mist form, Nullifying Enid's soul attack. "W-what How?" Enid said bewildered, this move always worked on the ghosts back at home.
"I Can't Believe you Just Tried to do that?!" Misty in her mist form said in rage. "Let's see how You Like it!" Misty suddenly extended her Mist tail and it coiled around Enid's torso and before she could do anything Misty suddenly zoomed them both into Outer Space!
Enid gasped for air, unable to breathe or move in the floating cold vacuum while this Mist girl watched on.
In a desperate act, Enid brought her hands together and focused as a puff of purple smoke enveloped her body.
"Huh?" Misty said as the smoke cleared, revealing Enid in her space biker outfit, complete with space helmet. "You're not getting rid of me that Easily.
Enid blasted fire out of her feet as propulsion as she tried to grab Misty, who turned to Mist and flew away. Enid spin kicked a volley of Power Kicks back at Misty who's Mist form Easily dodged around them and then suddenly grew in size to thousands of meters.
The Kaiju sized Mist through a powerful Punch only to be caught, creating a shockwave that dispersed all the clouds in the atmosphere as a long dark shadow arm extended from Enid's form holding it.
The rest of Enid's body turned jet black and grew to enormous size, becoming a giant of pure shadow. Its shadow feet reached the plants surface as it stood against the equally sized mass of Mist. The two titanic beings of Shadow and Mist clashed in a fistfight between the Earth's Atmosphere, as the Shadow Enid grabbed onto Misty and put her into a headlock. Misty's Mist form clawed at her and tail whipped the top of her head forcing her to let go. Shadow Enid morphed her arm into a barbed Lance and Impaled it through the Mist Form.
"AHHHHH, That Is IT, I am Ending This NOW!" Misty called as her tail like appendage suddenly stretched down and leg swept the shadow forcing it to topple over into the atmosphere as Misty dove down in hot pursuit.
Enid turned herself back to normal as she plummeted to Earth. "Autumn Breeze!" She said as she generated a giant pile of leaves to break her fall, but Misty quickly caught up to her and Kicked her, forcing her down with more force causing the Leaves to explode.
Enid rolled back in pain as she landed on her feet and attempted to use a jutsu, putting forth a lot of hand motions.
However Misty suddenly materialized in front of her and Pocked her arm which fell limp at her side.
"What?! er" Misty poked her other arm, her leg, her torso as she barely stood.
"Nobody, Beats Me!" Misty said as she poked her forehead as she started to fall back.
Despite that Enid kept a smile, "...theres a first time for everything" Suddenly a bunch of shadow tendrils erupted from Enid's shadow on the ground as a trap.
"WHAT?!" Misty said as she pulled against it, she tried her mist form but it wouldn't let go. Enid on the other hand stood back up tall brought her fingers to her mouth and Blew, Freezing Misty's Mist Form solid.
Enid walked towards the Ice Statue her foot aflame. "Game Over" She said as she shattered it to pieces with one final kick.
KO!

First let’s Analyze stats, you can quickly see this is a Speed VS Power fight, with Misty being 10 times faster but Enid being 6 times stronger. Now those differences are minute in the grand scheme of VS, but looking at what that means, Enid will struggle to score hits on Misty, but if she does they will be pretty damn effective, while Misty will easily score hits on Enid, but she’ll need a Lot of them to bring her down. So a lot of this was looking at their skills and abilities to see who was better suited to pull their Strat off.
Going into Secondary Stats, Enid has higher Stamina through Feats and better Range via long distance attacks like her Power Kicks. This is bad for Misty as it makes her that much harder to bring down, and it's more likely Misty will gas out first in a long bout, also the added fact that she is always going to be in Enid’s effective range. Enid is also likely the more intelligent of the two by feats and studying under Pro Hero’s, plus she’s likely more experienced too as while we don’t know how much Misty fights in her career, even someone like Jenny wouldn’t be as experienced as Enid, who lives in a world where Fights are a constant. This is helpful to Enid as it means she could better think of win strategies. Misty on the other hand has the advantages in Skill and Stealth thanks to her more impressive displays of martial arts and super senses countering Enid’s stealth attempts. The difference however is while these advantages are good to have, as it means Enid can’t use those to score hits more often, it’s more a lack of a disadvantage on Misty’s part, she’s already faster than Enid is so using skill and stealth to score hits at that point is inefficient.
Finally let’s get into powers, at first Misty’s Mist form seems to be absolutely overwhelming with all the defensive and mobility boosting powers it adds. And don’t get me wrong it Is really good, she could phase through Enid’s power kicks, match Enid’s teleportation, regenerate from any injury Enid did manage to cause, and even shrug off the Soul Hax thanks to its higher plane existence. In tandem with Misty’s enhanced senses counteracting Enid’s smoke screen and illusion clones, it seemed like a perfect combo, but Misty’s Mist form did not make her invincible.
Misty’s regeneration is not a passive defense but an active one, no matter how good it is, she needs to activate it herself. It’s great for shrugging off critical injuries and mortal wounds where she has time to use it, but against anything that would instantly kill her, it’s completely useless.
As for the Mist Form itself, Enid actually has two different powers perfect to take it on. The most direct one being her Shadow Jutsu, which is able to hit on higher planes like Misty, and the Mist form is still able to deep into shadows so this would be able to physically grab her. And the most effective one being Enid’s ice breath, as since the mist form is made of a mist like substance, and is still clearly affected by variations of water, it can be frozen, both trapping it and forcing it to be solidified. What’s even more telling about this, is both Enid’s shadow powers and ice breath are her most effective methods of controlling a battlefield and fighting faster opponents.
On the other side, how effectively could Enid’s abilities defend against Misty’s? Actually really well, Misty couldn’t Fear Hax Enid due to her Fear Resistance training, she couldn’t suffocate her in space since Enid could magically swap her outfit to be wearing her space bike helmet, and even Misty’s Pressure Point attacks would likely fail, as remembered, Enid isn’t human, she’s a Witch, a different species with different internal structure, and Misty has never shown skill enough to learn new weak points on the fly.
Beyond those Misty’s only real method of attack is physical strikes, and evidence suggests that likely just won’t be enough to bring Enid down before she could take out Misty. It was an epic-ly close Showdown but in the End, Enid was OK to take the KO….
The Winner is Enid.
An exceptional Ninja fight blog Thor! With the theming of shadow and water, it really felt thematically Ninja-like! I think you did a good job balancing the physical side of this fight with it's more special/magic abilities side. I can tell you right now I probably would have focused too extensively on the latter side, which is partlly why I don't do many physical fights :P
ReplyDeleteI had seen my life as a teenage robot so Misty was not a surprise, though I didn't recall just how op some of her abilities were like her ability to disperse into mist. I knew almost nothing about OK KO so Enid was a total surprise, imagine my shock when she turns out to kind of be a magical girl! I guess it's fitting you used a Sailor Moon Crystal track.
I was surprised this fight you considered SO close. When I got to the summary section I thought it was pretty clear, albeit your summary section did make me second guess myself some :P Still your reasoning was I think a pretty clear example of how mcuh advantage the winning side had. It seemed very conclusive and I very much like how you analyzed how one side's abilities supported the strategy they would need to use to win while the other's didn't as much.
I thought your fight was really cool! The tactics were quite advanced and ninja-y like manifesting a fog on the cloud via ice. I was actually having trouble following at a few points. My favorite part must have been when Enid analyzed Misty and came up with a workable tactic mid-battle. Such could feel a bit forced in the hands of a lesser writer but you made it seem quite believable. I'd also like to point out my favorite power, teleportion and it's helpfulness here to both sides :P It's just a constantly useful power.
Seeing this was both nostalgia for watching my life as a teenage robot and introduced me to the world of OK KO which seems to just be trying to incorporate the coolest parts of every single other series it can. Those feats were quite crazy to read about like making continent sized craters with a handshake and overpowering a black hole. Truly this was an inspired matchup and I think you did an amazing job bringing it to life!
That was awesome Thor! I didn’t know anything about OK KO but it seems like a really fun series. Enid turned out to be pretty relatable with her wanting to try new things while being unsure of what she ultimately wants to be (I feel that sometimes). Glad her story had a happy ending though! Funny how both Scooby Doo and Little Witch Academia references were somehow worked into Enid’s backstory. Enid and Misty was a really cool idea for matchup, because not only are their backstory and stats relatively similar, but personalities and powers were different enough to make a comparison interesting.
ReplyDeleteSeeing how Misty and Enid’s powers clash with each other was a pleasure to read. Misty’s mist ninja abilities were of course super cool and I liked seeing them go against Enid’s more varied abilities. In particular, I really liked seeing the strategies Enid came up with to trap Misty, like using different states of water for instance. It was a really well thought out battle which used both of their powers to full effect s great job!
Also for the next time, cool, I really like Aaahh!! Real Monsters. Looking forward to seeing how that blog turns out.
Awesome fight dude! I watched MLaaTR way back in the day, but for some reason had no memory of Misty, and I knew nothing about O.K. K.O., so this blog was full to the brim with interesting new info for me. I'm getting BNHA vibes from O.K. K.O, feels like a more light-hearted Western equivalent and that's a very good thing! And really, really good music. I know the main attraction for this blog is a badass brawl, but I also really enjoyed learning the backstories of these two characters and getting to know who they are and where they've been. Both Misty and Enid have amazing stories to tell and seem like great gals. I agree with you that Misty's not a villain; while it looks like she took up the role of Jenny's antagonist a few times, that's different from being a villain and my impression from reading this blog is that she's spent almost all her time heroing and saving people.
ReplyDeleteReally cool powers on both of them; I could tell before I even read the fight that this must have been a fun one to write. Now is a good of a place as any to say it was genius to pick these two to fight each other. I like that it's not just thematically appropriate, it's not just a fun mix of moves and counters but it's also quite even when you look at stats and how they can deal with each others' powers. Speaking of these powers, the ones that impressed me the most were Misty's mist form healing and mental hax, and Enid's soul-eating and shadow powers.
Now I gotta talk about the fight itself because despite all the parts I just finished praising, this was what really got me stoked! It felt like you had a fantastic grasp of the characters; my exposure to them has been limited to the trailer for this blog and the blog itself, but their dialogue was quite in keeping for their personalities. Premise to set up the battle was on point, very believable. The music really kicked into high gear for this part of the blog and stayed there. I've said many times how talented you are at providing a great score and this was no exception. I'm a fan of that Bad Apple song you used, and returning to it later in the fight but remixed into a heavier version? Amazing! And the Sailor Moon track PERFECTLY set the atmosphere for the line Enid spoke as soon as it came on, it was like watching a movie. Possibly the best individual moment of music use I've seen in a blog. And the victory track was awesomely catchy! I'm still catching myself humming it as I type this comment. It's exactly my kind of song, if that makes any sense.
Ah, got carried gushing about tunes rather than what was actually happening in the fight, forgive me. My favorite part was definitely the battle at the pond; the way you played around with Misty's unique interaction with water made for some really slick visuals in my mind, and was important foreshadowing for a crucial element of Enid's winning strategy. Misty's fear illusion was well-written, and the kaiju space battle was so cool! Great way to escalate the action! And it was great that you even included Enid's Autumn Breeze power, minor as it is. I love seeing everything from the analysis portion appear in the battle. Lots of twists and turns keeping me in suspense near the end, too. I thought things were over with the soul hax being used, then I thought it was over with the pressure points, then it gets turned around again for the win! Excellent battle.
That was a very detailed explanation of your verdict bro, I could feel how close this was and how much you must have debated with yourself over it. It all makes sense to me, I really should've clued into how useful that freeze breath is for this opponent, and that detail you mentioned about it and her other best power for this fight, shadow jutsu, being go to solutions for faster opponents really helps swings things in Enid's favor. Great job!
Hit the character limit, so I gotta make a second comment under this one.
Continued since I talk way too much. The trailer for next time was so exciting for me!!! I was a huge ARM fan back in the day, Oblina was one of my favorite female cartoon characters. I have lots of fond memories of watching that show, so I'm really looking forward to revisiting it through the lens of vs debating in your next blog!
DeleteReally great fight, and seeing MLAATR rep is incredibly based. However, I politely disagree with how "even someone like Jenny wouldn’t be as experienced as Enid". Jenny was entirely built to fight crime and defend Earth from planet-wide threats, and if I'm remembeering correctly, she has the entire web's information on hand.
ReplyDeleteNo hard feelings or anything though, I still really liked this fight.
