Welp, Back to the Strategy
Guides again. I’ve gotten a few ideas for these kinds of blogs, I know I want
to do Cartoon ones eventually but for now I’ve decided to stick to videogames as
we now cover a series I have a lot of attachment to, the Behemoth. the Behemoth
is a franchise consisting of four smaller series, Alien Hominid, Castle
Crashers, BattleBlock Theater and Pit People which are all
interconnected to each other, taking place in the same universe and following a
consistent timeline. So without further ado, here's how to be OP in it.
Building Tier:
So first off we have the
building tier, this tier being populated by the Hominid Aliens as well as
several of their various Enemies and Bosses. Characters in this tier have
building level stats yet highly Massively Hypersonic speeds from several feats
including the player alien tanking a fall from the upper atmosphere after being
blasted out of his own ship, as well as dodging a satellite laser cannon which
can reach from space to surface in 1 second. That being said the alien’s
blaster rifle is significantly more powerful, able to let out Town Level shots
due to being able to bring down his own ship which tanked a direct hit from a
russian nuclear missile. That in and of itself is a problem due to being a
potential oneshot move against any of the building level counters. Abilities in
this tier include Flight, Lasers, Freezing, Forcefields, fire and high amounts
of combat skill. You also have characters like the Install Ball which can
possess machinery. The most diverse character in the tier being Baron
Butterscotch, a building sized radioactive monster made of pudding, his powers
include being a Logia being, elasticity, breathing damaging flows of pudding
and creating small clones of himself. So what are the weaknesses at this tier?
Well that's not too hard to find given the game itselfs advertisement of the
Alien only having one hit point, characters at this tier have extremely good
mobility and destructive capability for their physical level to dish out
maximum punishment, but they sure as hell can't take a lot of punishment
themselves, even Baron Butterscotch with his Logia can’t be effective as a tank
due to his weakness of being diluted in water. This would lead one to think of
Tank type characters whom could outlast them long enough to get a hit, but
since the lasers pack so much more punch than the max Dura allowed for counters
can take, that strategy won’t turn out well.
With that in mind, it would
seem a better strategy would be to be an unconventional tank, someone who
doesn’t put themselves at risk, while still being able to unload upon their
enemies. This brings me to my first counter.
Kurogiri:
Kurogiri from the My Hero
Academia series would be a very effective counter due to his rare but powerful
Quirk, Warpgate. Warpgate allows one to open and control portals and his in
particular allows him to do so from a massive distance. With that in mind he
could simply pearch himself atop a building and repeatedly attack them using
portals to redirect attacks, BFR people or spatially cut them in half without
putting himself in danger. He could also portal foes into places that would
certainly kill them like the bottom of the ocean or inside a volcano.
Kurogiri’s Power also has a residual effect of dark mist, which he uses to his
advantage by hiding his real body within it and obscuring his foes vision, so
even if somebody did find him, it's unlikely they’d be able to score a hit on
him before he would simply portal himself to safety again.
All that being said, Kurogiri’s
actual speed is much lower than the Aliens, so he would not be able to fight
them directly. For a more direct approach I would move to my next counter.
Pyrrha Nikos:
Pyrrha Nikos from the RWBY
series would be more than capable of going toe to toe with the characters in
this verse due to scaling to several Building Level MHS feats, like Mercury
Black who was able to repeatedly dodge out of the way of lighting strikes and
tank the KE of that which would be well over 3 tons of TNT alone accounting for
the added weight of his metal legs.
While Pyrrha would not be able
to tank the blasts of the Alien’s Rifles, she ultimately does not have to
thanks to her Semblance, Polarity. This tier is very reliant on metal and
Polarity just blatantly allow’s Pyrrha to control it, she would tear any of the
mechanical bosses apart and make it so the Aliens could not score a hit on her
with their rifles by constantly changing their direction, or even stealing them
and using it herself. Even if you argue that the Alien’s rifles are made of an
alien metal and may not be magnetic, Pyrrha would STILL be able to control them
as her Semblance has shown the ability to control non-magnetic metals before,
such as in the food fight where she manipulated hundreds of Aluminum Soda Cans.
Pyrrha is more than capable of playing the long range game with these creatures
as her weapon can be used as both a long rifle and a returning Javelin, and if
they get in close it would be even easier as Pyrrha is an extremely skilled
prodigy huntress capable of casually beating four fellow huntsmen at once in
melee combat. She can even take out the Baron by simply making all the Fire
Hydrants around him explode.
That said Pyrrha isn’t the
strongest pick I found either, for the best of both worlds I would suggest,
Andrew Bennett:
Andrew Bennett from DC Comics.
Bennett would easily be a physical match for the aliens in this tier, being
able to fight alongside characters like Batman who is strong enough to hold up
a collapsing building and fast enough to dodge Lightning. The Real advantage
here is the fact he is able to create a forcefield around his body which are
tough enough to directly tank a Nuclear Bomb, giving him disproportionate
defenses on par with the Alien’s disproportionate Offense. This coupled with
Bennett’s really impressive regeneration would make him effectively unkillable
already but then you go into what his offensive abilities are. Bennett would be
able to telekinetically make his foes explode, which is an extremely dangerous
ability that only Baron Butterscotch would be able to survive. Past even that
though, Bennett has the ability to transmutate foes to Stone, which is
something the good Baron Definitely would Not survive.
Town Tier:
So the Town tier is an
interesting tier to talk about due to having a weird combination of characters.
This tier contains the BattleBlocks Gladiators and Mutant cats, who are durable
enough to endure the crushing force of the bottom of the ocean, strong enough
to beat each other to death and fast enough to outpace bullets electricity and
highly MHS lasers. This tier also includes the final boss of Alien Hominid, The
Bruiser Alien, who is tough enough to tank dozens of shots from the aliens town
level rifle, and outpace the Castle Crashers. Most importantly however are The
Alien Hominid’s Battle cruisers themselves which not only can tank a nuke as
previously mentioned but can fly at speeds at least matching Light if not much
greater, which throws what speed I’m allowing here for a loop, that said since
the Cruisers never show these speeds within Earth's atmosphere I’m going to say
that they limit their speed their and make Town Level MHS+ the limit (Them
limiting their speed in atmosphere does have a fair deal of supporting
evidence). As far as powers go, The BattleBlocks gladiators are able to
manipulate fire and electricity, and they and the aliens have weaponry
including lasers, explosives, tractor beams, flight, ice attacks and acid
attacks. So what would be some good strategies to deal with this? Well similar
to the last tier, all of the characters commit to the ‘Best Defense is a Great Offense’
strategy by having almost exclusively offensive powers leaving Stats as their
only defense. This means the best strategy is to prove their strategy wrong and
have characters who have really good defensive and mobility powers to counter,
one such example,
Q-Bee:
Q-Bee from the Darkstalkers
series is able to fight Felicia, who was able to endure Town level explosions
from Huitzil drones, and keep up with an Early Lilith, after she flew from
London to New Orleans in about 1 minute, putting her on par in stats. Q-Bee is
able to fly, allowing her to catch the flying Hominid Cruisers and have an
areal edge over most of the foes. She can also further increase her mobility
advantage by trapping foes in immobilizing honey and summoning additional soul
bees to increase her numbers. Both her and these Bees are able to shoot giant
stinger projectiles and consume people's souls, the latter of which would be an
instant kill for anyone in this tier. But the best part is her defensive hax,
If Q-Bee receives any major damage, she can disturbingly sacrifice her body to
forcibly impregnate a foe with her own reincarnation, which will rapidly feed
on their insides and pop out with full memories and health in 5 seconds flat.
That all being said, Q-Bee
could be defeated if they take her down before she has a chance to pull this
move. For an even better pick that isn’t risking their body, how about.
Sandman:
Sandman from Marvel Comics.
Sandman is on par in stats due to scaling to Spider-Man. Being a logia being
composed entirely of Sand, it is extremely difficult to deal any damage against
him with physical attacks, as he will simply reform himself. Past that their
powers aren’t going to do anything in harming him either as sand is naturally
very resistant to acid, heat, electricity and cold, and is quite difficult to
pick up. With these defenses its already very difficult for them to even harm
Sandman, but can Sandman harm them? Heck yeah he can, not only can he harm them
with his physical attacks but duplicate himself, coat massive areas at once and
attack from multiple angles, and even enter into peoples bodies and destroy
them from the inside out. Also Sand would be devastating to machinery like the
Battle Cruisers due to getting into its gear and circuits.
Sandman’s attacking options are
strong but again for the best of both worlds, I would go…
Monsoon:
Monsoon from Metal Gear is able
to fight on par with Raiden, a guy strong enough to destroy machines that can
tank nuclear bombs and run 2000 times the speed of sound. As a Cyborg,
Monsoon’s body is separated into numerous pieces that he can control using his
primary ability, Magnetic manipulation. This makes him very hard to hit and
very hard to harm due to being able to fly and shield himself, but also needing
to be cut into very small pieces to truly be killed. And that's if they can
even catch him due to another power he has, invisibility, which would
effectively let him stealthily take out all the foes in the tier without them
even knowing it until it is too late. This is double insured by the fact he
fights with HF blades, which forcibly cut through foes by weakening molecular
bonds, allowing him to absolutely kill anyone in this tier in only one hit.
Island Tier:
Here we get into the old
world's premiere badasses, namely the Castle Crashers and their various
villains. Characters in this Tier have island level power due to numerous feats
of causing earthquakes throughout whole mountain ranges, and the Evil Wizard
creating a storm powerful enough to rip his fortress from the ground. On top of
that while they aren’t quite as fast as previous tiers they can outpace
lightning and meteors putting them MHS in speed. Commonly characters in this
tier are very skilled and experienced in numerous forms of combat and while
super technology still exists, they rely much more on Magic. Through magic,
this is easily the most versatile tier so far, possessing basically every kind
of manipulation ability including Electricity, Fire, Ice, Poison, Snow, Plants,
Water, Metal, Air, Insects, Sand, Crystal, Darkness and Light. Numerous other
powers also exist in this verse as well, several characters are able to fly and
teleport and the slimes can shrug off attacks with Logia. Medusa can transmute
foes into stone with her eyes, and characters like the Castle Crashers can
resist it so you can’t cancel it out by having transmutation yourself. The most
versatile character in the series is The Evil Wizard, who can create storms,
use telekinesis, summon meteors, create force fields, create anti-magic fields,
regenerate and shapeshift into a giant spider creature.
But all that isn’t even
counting the biggest problem with the Castle Crashers Tier, numerous bosses
possess abilities like Necromancy, Simulation Summoning, Asexual Reproduction
and Spawning, all of which let said characters massively increase their numbers
and threat level overtime so above all else one needs a way to counteract that.
So what Weaknesses does this
tier have? Well one thing that is interesting to think about is despite the
fact that the Tier itself is very versatile, not that many of its characters
are versatile themselves. Therefore having some good versatility that can apply
to a lot of situations is still a good strategy as it would still let you be
broken in a lot of one on one fight. Characters in this tier also need to
breathe and other such bodily functions. This brings me to my first pick.
Korra:
Avatar Korra would be an
extremely powerful enemy, in the Avatar State (Which she can access at will)
she scales to numerous Island level MHS feats throughout the series, and gains
abilities like flight and poison resistance to allow her to keep pace with the
warriors of this tier a lot better. Korra may not have every single
manipulation ability in Castle Crashers, she does have quite a lot of them, and
much more than any individual is packing. With Earthbending she can reflect
sand and crystal, Firebending lets her reflect fire and redirect lightning
waterbending can stop water, ice, snow and plant attacks, as well as freeze the
logia slimes and both air and water can be used to suffocate foes to death. But
then we go into the main reason I picked her over Aang, apart from her just
being more aggressive, and that is the fact Korra mastered Metal Bending. Most
of the Castle Crashers cast wears Armor, and even those that don’t largely use
metal weaponry, with Metal Bending Korra could essentially turn this against
them and manipulate their bodies, turn their weapons on them or just crush them
outright. Korra is also a master martial artist who could likely hold her
ground against the experienced warriors just fine.
That said, she could still be
given trouble by a few of the bosses and would have to deal with powers like
Transmutation and people gathering numbers, therefore a better strategy would
be.
Kenshiro:
Kenshiro from Fist of the North
Star is easily comparable with the characters of this tier in both power and
speed, but also has a major advantage in that he can negate durability and
cause people to explode with his broken Pressure Point techniques, essentially
making him able to one hit kill anyone in the tier. Kenshiro is also able to
defend against almost any attack that could be thrown at him, not only due to
his telekinesis, but his Muso Tensei technique, which allows him to just turn
intangible, as well as straight up just erase foes from existence. Kenshiro,
not that he needs to considering Muso Tensei, can even counteract the verses
ability to multiply their forces by doing it himself with his own duplication
ability.
But he is still just one man,
to take out the tier as efficiently as possible, I have a really good option.
Seilah:
Seilah from the Fairy Tail
series, is one of the 9 Demon Lords of Tartaros, and is easily able to contend
with Island Level MHS characters like Mirajane Strauss. Seilah’s main curse is
called Macro and the real beauty of it is that it actually turns the Verses
ability multiply its targets into an advantage FOR HER. With only a thought,
Seilah is able to control the mind and body of entire armies of foes and
basically no one in the tier has any solid resistance to this. With this in
mind Seilah would quickly amass an entire legion of warriors and make the verse
destroy itself in a massive war. Her foes own Multiplying abilities being the
very thing that ensures her forces will not run out, it really is almost ironic
how much she would Own them.
Large Planet Tier:
Finally we are brought to our
last tier, at the end of BattleBlock Theater, Hatty Hattington unleashed a
powerful blast which Killed a Space Bear causing it to crash into the Earth,
terraforming it and mutating the world with Space Bear Blood, causing a vast
jump in power.
This Tier includes all the Pit
People characters as well as the most powerful character from BattleBlock
Theater, Hatty Hattington. Characters like the Space Bears are powerful enough
to traverse space, and pick up the Earth. Likewise Hatty was able to not only
kill one, but completely obliterate planets as large as Saturn with a laser
that traveled there in 1 second putting it several hundred times faster than
light. Also the Pit People characters were able to react to as well as block this
laser in a cutscene so they clearly scale too. So This Tier has Large Planet
Level and FTL Stats.
To go over Powers one thing
that jumps out is the massive amounts of super senses contained within, Yosef
with his 2nd eye is able to have clairvoyance of the world around him, and
Space Bears are able to see and hear every individual across planet Earth, so
trying to use Stealth isn't the best strategy.
Past that, This tier might
actually be MORE Versatile than the last tier, or at the very least more haxy.
Many of the wizard characters have Transmutation, there are numerous Intangible
ghost characters, and heck, there's literally an entire species with Mind
Control abilities, so you’re gonna want someone who can deal with those. Mental
abilities in particular are pretty common in Pit People actually, the best
example being The Sleeper, who, while dreaming, was able to mentally project an
entire temple and secret society who could fully interact with the real world
and had sentience, to protect him during his slumber. There are also more
powerful wizards like Jerkimedes; The Magical Jerk, who was able to spatially
warp away a massive rainbow bridge that lead into outer space with a snap of
his fingers, as well as literally cause his foes to combust with but a thought.
Several characters can teleport, fly, breathe in space and attack with things
like Lasers, Webs, Poison, Fire, Acid, Electricity and even Soul Absorption.
Also there's a lot of undead characters like Zombies, Wraiths, Trolls and
Vampires who can Heal Themselves, Regenerate from non existence, self
resurrect, spawn new foes and reduce the stats of their opponents. AND AS IF
THAT WASN’T ENOUGH, we didn’t mention the most powerful character, The Speckled
Horse, who is a reality warping wish granting being that can travel through
time.
So what are some weaknesses of
this series? There actually is a few, one that is pretty notable is stamina, as
even powerful characters like Jerkimedes and the Space Bear rely on supply of
magic to accomplish their power and it can be targeted and exhausted. Even more
apparent is their reliance on the undead, who are numerous and tend to be more
haxy on average. This in particular leads to my first pick.
Sartana of The Dead:
Sartana is the main villain
from the El Tigre series, and a total powerhouse in her own right being able to
overpower El Tarantula who once pulled the Moon out of orbit at speeds
requiring Large Plante levels of energy, and fast enough to fight El Tigre who
can dodge lasters fast enough to reach the sun in seconds. With the power of
her 7 Magic Guitar Strings, she can amass armies of both Undead skeletons and
Angry Ghosts, but not only that, she also has Power Over both of those things,
which effectively would let her take command of the ghosts and undead of the
Pit People series. Sartana can resist the soul manipulation attacks as well as
use Telekinesis and Teleportation to increase her mobility even further. She
can not only fire lasers comparable to that of Hatty’s own, but she can also
cast force fields which can protect her from harm and also trap foes,
considering these force fields are tough enough to trap every hero in the city
at once there's no way the characters could break through.
Despite all this, Sartana has a
weakness, namely if her guitar breaks, she dies. Even though she has come back
from death numerous times it is still a problem, for a better strategy.
Kevin 11,000:
An Alternate Universe Version
of Kevin from the Ben 10 series, Kevin 11,000 is an extremely dangerous foe
easily capable of going toe to toe with even Way Big, giving him Planet Level
FTL stats. Kevin’s strength comes from the fact that he absorbed the full power
of 11,000 species of aliens, granting him all their powers. Kevin can Fly,
Shapeshift, Turn Intangible, Control Minds, Possess Machinery, Breathe in
space, manipulate sound, regenerate, and resist nearly Everything Ben 10,000
could throw at him. With this alone he’s already able to take on almost any
power in this tier but then you remember his original power, the ability to
absorb energy, with this Kevin can actually gather additional powers from
characters in this verse by touching them, which would be more than enough to
let him solo.
That Said there is one
character who could still stop him, The Speckled Horse, I’m not one to give up,
so I have one more character to throw at this.
Rachel Alucard:
Good ol’ Rachel from the
Blazblue series. Rachel is the most powerful vampire in the world and it shows
with her scaling easily past the large planet level FTL feats of Makoto Nanaya.
Rachel is a total super genius manipulator who is over 150,000 years old, she's acausal, exists outside of time and has plenty of time powers of her own, so
there's not a lot the speckled horse can do to stop her. She can regenerate
from nothing more than her mind, and has heavy resistance to both soul and mind
manipulation, in addition to just having those abilities herself. She can
seal foes in spacetime, teleport, control numerous elements and a lot of other
various powers. With basically being unable to be killed and having countless
ways to kill anyone she may encounter, The Queen of Roses says checkmate to
this series.
