Death Battle Prediction: Sniper VS Lady Nagant

Welcome Everyone, Last year at this time I did an epic battle between two notorious western Tank characters, so for This go around, we’re going full anime with a battle between two DPS Glass Cannons. Sniper, the sharp shooting psychic from Yu Yu Hakusho, VS Lady Nagant the fallen Pro Hero from My Hero Academia. These two long distance killers are the deadliest assassins in their Villain Organizations, prompted to take out the world's greatest hero. But should they set their sights on each other, who’d get the Killshot?

Background:

Sniper:

The world itself was in danger. Shinobu Sensui, ex-spirit detective employed by Spirit World to keep humanity safe from supernatural threats like demons, had gone rogue after stumbling upon the worst horrors mankind is capable of on his missions, vowing to end humankind for its constant capacity for Evil, by opening the Kekkai Barrier between the Human and Spirit worlds, and letting the monsters ravage this world. But in order to accomplish such a task, he could not do it alone, he needed to put together a team with a certain set of skills to accomplish his goal.

Luckily for him, gaining allies was about to become a whole lot easier. In the process of carving a passageway between the Human and Demon worlds, Demon Energy leaked out and created a dome around the surrounding Mushiyori City.

This miasma in the air haunted the town as it corrupted and became more and more like the demon world all beneath the average person's perception, and growing worse with every stage it progressed.

In the second stage, this Demon Energy Congealed onto some of the individual human residents of the city, indiscriminately granting them supernatural powers, becoming Psychics. And Sensui was a wiz at picking allies in this chaos.

Kaname Hagiri was a normal, albeit psychopathic, rebel teen growing up in Mushiyori City with his parents and younger sister Nana. When the Kekkai Barrier started to vanish, Kaname and Nana were among those gifted with Psychic abilities from the Demonic Energy they absorbed.

His Sister gained the ability to empathically see the thoughts and feelings of others, including the recently deceased, and share them with those around her as visions, connecting her to others. Kaname though? He gained something a little different.

Kaname gained an incredibly powerful telekinetic ability that enabled him to effectively put a Hole in anyone from multiple Football fields away in an instant. A power that would be pretty freaking useful for anyone seeking to lay waste to mankind.

Thus Sensui decided to recruit him, taking him in and showing him a Videotape he stole from Spirit world called Chapter Black. Chapter Black is a horrific film that summarizes all of the worst crimes, acts and atrocities to ever be committed by humans throughout all of history, showing footage of each one and only getting worse as it goes. It is said this tape would turn anyone on their own kind after just 5 minutes, and Sensui had all his followers watch it clear to the end.

But, unlike the rest of Sensui’s followers, Kaname had no particular reaction to the film, ever cold and calculating, he didn’t have emotional ties towards what he saw, caring only for the strength that Sensui displayed and the conviction to his cause.

With that, Kaname joined the group known as the Sensui Seven with his new codename, Sniper, and got to work helping Sensui in his plan to end mankind by taking the fight to the world's New Spirit Detective, Yusuke Urameshi.

And he did NOT have a fun time just FYI. Sniper was a terrifying foe who excelled at keeping whatever enemies Sensui didn’t want interfering, pinned down. He would most likely have killed Yusuke in their battle if not for the fact that Yusuke had allies he could rely on while the Sensui Seven VERY Much did not.

But even after getting impaled, Sniper managed to survive due to Hiei intentionally not hitting any of his vital organs. After Sensui’s defeat and the failure of their plan, Sniper ultimately disappeared, where it’s heavily implied he became a shadowy Hitman for Hire on the world's black market, where he could use his abilities to get the thrills he wants.

Kaname is a callous, apathetic sociopath who has an extremely negative view of mankind, with one of the main reasons he had little thoughts regarding the tape possibly being because it didn’t tell him anything he didn’t already think was true. He doesn’t show much emotion, being a very calculating character consumed by Existential Dread, but one thing he seems to have concluded is that if life has no meaning, he might as well have some fun with it. Kaname is a thrill seeker, who enjoys doing dangerous stunts and testing himself against strong foes, getting easily bored when not having his adrenaline up. He takes great pride in his ability and the power it gives him over others to do as he pleases. He isn’t entirely heartless however, as he is shown to care about his Sister and Animals, willing to kill those who are cruel to them for free.

Lady Nagant:

Many decades ago, the world as we knew it changed. The birth of a Bioluminescent Baby in China, marked the beginning of the next step in humanity's evolution, one where everyone would have their very own individual superpower, commonly referred to as Quirks. While it was chaotic at first, eventually up to 80% of mankind developed these abilities and the world began to resemble that which you’d normally only see out of a Comicbook. And with all these changes, came a new career, a dream job that captivated the minds of every little kid out there, becoming a Pro Hero!

Something that one of these kids, Kaina Tsutsumi, always wanted to be. The young, spirited and optimistic Kaina dreamed of making a difference in the world, protecting people as a Hero using her powerful Right arm, which had the ability to turn into a high powered Sniper Rifle.

Using this in conjunction with her impressive sharpshooting skills, Kaina was considered a prodigy hero in training, so much that she was noticed by Japan’s Public Safety Commission, who took Kaina under her wing, molding her to become a Pro and use her right arm to make the World a Better Place. She soon achieved her goal and became the trickshot hero, the Lovely Lady Nagant. Nagant being the name of the famous Ukrainian Sniper Rifle used by Lyudmila Pavlichenko, the Deadliest Sniper in WWII, known by the moniker, “Lady Death.”

And if that dark name origin should tell you anything, it's that things weren’t all well behind the scenes. The Public safety commission was highly committed to their goal, a goal of keeping the public Safe, Calm and Stable. And that meant they were determined to manipulate the public perception of their hero society so that it always looked bright and hopeful, by any means necessary.

If there was ever a threat to the public that threatened this narrative, Heroes that were corrupt, villains that made solid points, Movements that tried to change the peachy status quo that the Commission peddled, they needed to be quietly removed from the equation.

Thus was the task of their Number 1 pawn. Lady Nagant was the Commission’s solution to all the problems that the Commission deemed the public wasn’t prepared to know about. They’d send her in to face these threats with No Trial, No Jury, Just Executioner.

But all this Killing weighs heavily on the soul, Nagant became plagued from PTSD at all the Horrible things the commission had her do in the name of Holding Up the virtues of society. The sparkling life of a hero this was not, this was something she didn’t even have a name for

Nagant suffered an existential crisis over the fragility of this society. Was all this killing really making the world better? Why would one need to hide the truth if the system is Working? And that's when she came to the only conclusion that made sense, these ideals the Commission was having her defend, were all a Sham. The Hope that once occupied her eyes, had faded away.

The next time Nagant was to be sent on an assassination, she finally Fell Apart, taking aim at the thing that truly threatened society, she Murdered the President of the Safety Commission.

For this, Nagant was thrown into the most inescapable prison in the world, Tartarus. But just like with all the other problems Nagant had snuffed out for them, the Safety commission did not inform the public what really happened. Instead they sold the story that Nagant murdered fellow heroes, something that was technically true, but was really ignoring the greater context, let's be real.

But that was far from the end of this story, Lady Nagant was freed from prison during the League of Villains assault on Tartarus, in order to free their master, mankind’s ultimate villain, All For One.

The Demon Lord offered Nagant her freedom in exchange for doing him a favor, a sort of Bounty Hunting mission to help further his cause of taking control of this world. As the last thing Lady Nagant wanted to happen was to go back to the sickening status quo she held up, she agreed.

And so, All For One granted Lady Nagant new Quirks to upgrade her fighting capabilities further, and gave her her new mission, hunting down Izuku Midoriya, the new protege of the former number 1 hero, Allmight.

And wouldn’t you know it, ol’ Deku ALSO did not have a fun time with this! Lady Nagant was one of the most difficult opponents the young Midoriya had ever faced, not only because of her impressive power and skill, but because she challenged the very ideals he stood for, someone good like him who looked into the Abyss, seeing the secret ugly beneath Hero society and the wrongs that can’t be fought without being deemed a villain.

But behind the cold conviction in Lady Nagant’s heart, Deku saw the truth, a broken person, crying out for someone to help put her back together. Deku managed to defeat Lady Nagant, but his greatest feat that day was how he saved her.

With the help of Hawks, the number two hero, and Nagant’s replacement at the Safety Commission, Deku reached out a hand to her and pulled her out from the darkness. Nagant was taken aback by how Hawks, despite no doubt having done terrible things for the Commission, still managed to have Hope in his eyes, and if that was possible, maybe her hope would return to her as well.

And Hope she did as Nagant was one of the reformed villains who helped the heroes take up the fight against All For One and Shigiraki, ultimately saving the world from his terror once and for all and becoming a hero once more.

Kaina is a very disciplined and fearless woman with a strong conviction and sense of Justice. But it was her sense of Justice and wanting to be a selfless heroine that made the Morally Gray Pragmatistic actions the safety commission had her do, corrode away her morals until the only thing that mattered was fighting against that which was blinding people from the truth. Kaina does have a more casual and happy side to her, especially after being reformed, but when battling against foes that need to be stopped, she can be pretty cold blooded and ruthless, not hesitating to take a kill shot if need be. But she isn’t all angst and sarcasm, she has been shown to take pity on helpless foes and loves animals and children.

Intellect/Skill:

Sniper:

Sniper, despite only getting his abilities quite recently at the time of the Chapter Black arc, is easily one of the Sensui Sevens deadliest members, being the only one besides Sensui himself to have a hostile encounter with Yusuke, Kurama, Kuwabara AND Hiei at some point and ended up living to tell about it.

He’s a very intelligent fighter, who was able to quickly think of multiple tricky strategies to use against superior fighters like Yusuke and effectively hunt him most dangerous game style. His marksmanship skills are also extremely impressive, able to accurately score hits on targets far further away than real life professional sharp shooters, despite only receiving at best a training crash course from Sensui over less than a month.

Due to his long distance combat preference, Sniper is pretty good at using Stealth to his advantage, able to hide essentially indefinitely from Yusuke despite being in range enough for Yusuke to potentially feel his energy, and good with scouting areas and climbing.

But up close and personal, Sniper is not known to be a particularly effective fighter. But to his credit, he is well aware when he is out matched in a physical fight and will avoid it entirely and use his strong range game to his ultimate advantage.

Lady Nagant:

Lady Nagant was a top level Pro Hero who has many years of experience dealing with a wide variety of superpowered foes. The safety commission would often send her on dangerous missions to take out entire groups of enemies and it is established that she always succeeded without a scratch.

According to Hawks, Lady Nagant was the single most dangerous person to escape from Tartarus that night apart from All For One himself, and that she was the only one of those criminals that Deku would likely lose against, advising him to Run instead of Fight if they had an encounter. This is backed up by Nagant herself, stating Deku was the first foe she had fought to Dodge more than one of her shots.

Lady Nagant is known to be absolutely Fearless in battle and can fight through even immense pain like taking on Shigiraki even when her body was so banged up her own gunfire threatened to rip her apart. She is also a highly intelligent fighter capable of calculating the exact location of foes behind cover based on their trajectory, and constantly analysing her foe and coming up with new strategies Midfight.

Also, as the Safety Commission's former poster girl, Lady Nagant was Highly trained in Hand to Hand Martial Arts specifically to counter the weakness Snipers have to being ambushed in close combat. She was even able to land hits on Deku and throw him off of her despite the Stat gap via skill.

Powers/Gear:

Sniper:

After absorbing Demon Energy from the Kekkai Barrier leaking into the world, Kaname has become what one would commonly call a Psychic, or a human who possesses supernatural powers. While each Psychic is different, all of them, including Kaname, possess standard abilities including manipulation of their own energy and a form of Extrasensory Perception that enables them to see normally invisible Ghosts and Demons, receive feelings of great concern when being watched with malintent, and detect when other Psychics are nearby. But Kaname’s bread and butter ability is his Telekinesis, which he utilizes for his signature ability, the one he draws his name sake from, Sniper.

Sniper:

Sniper is a power unique to Kaname, by imbuing large amounts of Demon Energy into objects, he can increase their Hardness and Density and fire them from his hand with tremendous force and incredible distance and accuracy.

With this Power, Kaname can turn literally ANYTHING into the world's deadliest projectile weapon, able to score kills with not just traditional weapons like Guns or thrown knives, but also things like pebbles, marbles, dice, pencil erasers and even blades of grass.

These Telekinetic Projectiles travel Fast enough to catch up to and score hits on Yusuke as well as hit hard enough to damage and put holes in his body. During the Chapter Black arc Yusuke and his team were considered A Class in the spirit ranking system.

This is important to note as Yusuke was able to dodge around Suzaku’s Dark Lightning Shockwave, where he literally catches natural lightning from the clouds and throws it at him, while he was only C Class. Considering the wide power gap between the classes in this system with us having seen an 80x gap used as an example with Kurama in the anime version of the Three Kings Arc, A Class Yusuke should be orders of Magnitude faster than this, at least well into the high Sub Relativistic range.

Yusuke and his friends by this point were also strong enough to somewhat take on and endure hits from Sensui, whose Divine Energy aura alone was strong enough to cause Earthquakes across the planet, yet Yusuke was just fine standing in his presence. Sensui later went on to destroy Beheading hill, a structure dwarfing mountains with Yusuke’s Friends on it and they all survived, a feat calced in the dozens of Terratons of TNT. Them doing this is also consistent with statements that A Class Demons can destroy countries and King Enma being powerful enough to create volcanic eruptions that would devastate the Earth like nothing before it, presumably including the Meteor that wiped out the Dinosaurs.

For Kaname’s projectiles to damage Yusuke like this, they would need to be moving just as fast and pack a similar amount of destructive potential to these feats, albeit with a much more precise area of effect.

Kaname is able to imbue dozens of objects with his energy at once and fire them off one by one at a rapid pace to keep foes pinned and unable to approach. He is an expert marksman, stating that he never misses his shots, he is able to score hits on moving targets while driving through chaotic city streets, or snipe foes from distances too far for other Psychics to detect.

According to Genkai, she was not able to track the trajectory of one of his shots back to the shooter with her Spirit Energy, meaning he must have taken the shot in excess of 500 Meters away.

Kaname also can use Telekinesis more generally, allowing him to Drive a Tanker Truck from hundreds of meters away with his mind to chase down Yusuke and set up a trap. In theory Kaname could totally use this to lift large objects, create telekinetic barriers and knock away incoming attacks.

Though overuse of this ability on large objects like the Truck seem to rapidly drain his stamina, which is why he sticks mostly to small objects that don’t tax his power.

Territory:

Territory is an ability possessed specifically by Psychics who gained their power from the Kekkai Barrier. Similar to something like the Domain Expansion from JJK, a Psychic declaring their Territory projects a field of their energy around the surrounding area, allowing them to use powers unique to them on any who are within their territory. As a Sniper, Kaname’s territory has the 2nd most impressive range in the entire franchise, allowing him to spread his power at a radius of 200 Meters, and the English Dub even states it could be up to 500.

Being inside Kaname’s territory allows him to use his most powerful ability, the Death Print Bullseye. This allows Kaname to selectively place targets onto a person's body, and as long as these targets are in place, his projectiles cannot Miss.

Without even aiming, any projectile Kaname releases will continuously fly towards these targets, shifting and changing direction mid-flight like a heat seeking missile until they find their mark.

Because of this lack of need for aim, Kaname can absolutely overwhelm his target with Danmaku style attacks by throwing up many dozens of projectiles all at once.

There are only two ways to avoid the Death Print Bullseye. Either to constantly destroy these tracking projectiles before they reach you, or to successfully escape Kaname’s territory to make the targets fade away.

Gear:

Kaname typically comes to battle with his awesome looking Blue Motorcycle as an easy assist in high speed chases and a general increase of his normal mobility.

He regularly displays incredible feats of skill while driving this, such as Driving it offroad, on sidewalks, up stairs, onto buildings and pulling off miraculous jumps totally on the fly with the same amount of ease the average person has driving normally. Kaname can also use both his Sniper and Territory powers while driving it without any drawbacks.

He also carries some rudimentary gear such as Binoculars to allow him to see far away targets to aim at, and a Pistol to use as backup in the event his stamina becomes too taxed for him to use his powers.

Lady Nagant:

Kaina is a Quirk User, a Quirk being a genetic mutation similar to something like the X-Gene in Marvel, that effectively grants those born with it a natural superpower unique to them. As one of the roughly 80% of humans in the MHA world who possess a Quirk, Nagant is naturally faster, stronger and tougher than normal humans from before Quirks showed up, only increased further by her intense training to become a Pro Hero. Not only did this make her an expert fighter but allowed her to hone her Quirk: Rifle.

Rifle:

Rifle is a Quirk that enables Nagant to produce a giant high powered facsimile of a long range Sniper Rifle from out of her right elbow, which is constructed from her own bone, muscle and flesh.

Nagant’s Bullets are made out of her Hair, which is in reality an Epoxy Putty that can be pulled off and shaped into ammo before hardening into something stronger than any real life metal. And since her hair regrows as fast as it's pulled off, she can effectively do this as much as she wants.

Due to her ability to shape her bullets herself Nagant can use any kind of ammunition imaginable ranging from normal bullets to Hollow Point bullets, which break upon impact shattering shrapnel in all directions, and even bullets with speakers attached to it to communicate with her target.

Although the most crazy type of bullets she can make are her Curving bullets, which have grooves in them that change the trajectory of her shots as the wind passes through them midflight, allowing them to curve around entire buildings and cover to find her mark.

Lady Nagant is often regarded as the best sharpshooter in the world, as fellow sharpshooter hero, Snipe, put it, ‘My Quirk lets me hit any target within 600 meters, but she can hit that same target on Skill Alone, and from Three Kilometers out.”

Nagant’s Bullets are fast enough to catch up to and score hits on Dark Hero Arc Deku, and hit hard enough to penetrate not just his body, but even take the hands off of EoS Shigaraki.

Deku and numerous other weaker characters have been consistently able to dodge lightning for several previous arcs at this point, with not very impressive classmates of his, like Kaminari, able to literally manipulate it with his quirk. Deku by the time he fought Lady Nagant in the Dark Hero arc should be many orders of magnitude faster than this as it took all of Class 1A, using their fastest quirks in tandem with each other, just to catch him by the end of this same arc. Also only 3 arcs after this Deku and Shigaraki both have direct feats of dodging Radio Waves and Light Beams to further support Deku as being at least highly sub relativistic here at minimum.

In terms of Raw power, in the canonical My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising film, Deku and Bakugo, while sharing One For All Between them, were able to punch this massive island sized hole in the clouds and disperse it all at once. This feat has been calced at being 80 Teratons of TNT, yet was accomplished many months before Deku faced off with Nagant, with Deku only just learning he had additional quirks shortly before this film, and having mastered nearly all of them by the time he fought her. Deku, and especially Shigaraki, would both be able to reach this level of power solo by the points Nagant damaged them.

For Nagant’s bullets to be able to hit and damage these foes, they must be capable of the same speeds and the same destructive potential focused into the precise area of the shot.

Nagant is able to load and fire bullets at a rate so fast her barrel appears to move in a blur, allowing her to hit four distant targets in each cardinal direction in a fraction of a second.

Her arm is also able to form multiple other attachments for the rifle out of additional flesh including stand legs to increase stability and a scope that enables her to see super distant targets to make her aim somehow even more precise.

Lastly, by tightly flexing her mussels in the Rifle arm itself, Nagant can massively increase the speed and power of bullets she fires well beyond what they are normally, although doing this also puts her at risk of jamming her rifle arm so she only resorts to this if it is needed.

Air Walk:

While Rifle is a super deadly Quirk in its own right, the villain, All For One, decided it could be even better and used his power to provide Lady Nagant with an additional Quirk to support it, Air Walk.

As the name implies, Air Walk is a mobility boosting quirk that allows its user to both stand and walk on thin air for indefinite periods of time. With this power Nagant can effortlessly move between different vantage points or even make her own by fighting in the very sky. She is able to control the height of the air she walks upon through jumping and can even propel herself rapidly through the air by firing her rifle in the opposite direction like a RWBY character.

Self Destruct:

Unfortunately for her, Air Walk wasn’t the only Quirk All For One ended up giving her, the treacherous villain also snuck another Quirk into her body at the same time which would cause her to Explode if she got damaged to the point she couldn’t continue to fight, such as her Rifles Barrel being broken. He intended this to Kill her so she couldn’t give the heroes valuable information if she was defeated, but apparently Nagant is just Built Different because she managed to survive the blast and did so anyway.

Physicality:

Sniper:

Kaname is just a normal human physically, but thanks to his Psychic powers amping him, he is officially ranked at C Class.

He has been shown moving fast enough for the Human Eye to not be able to track, and should be on relative par with Yusuke as he was in the Saint Beasts Arc where he was able to dodge Lightning strikes.

His psychic power should be comparable to C Class Demons like Byakko who could pulverize these large stone segments with his shout attacks, which should be anywhere from Large Building Level to Multi-City Block Level depending if you want to calc it based on the visual damage it shows, or based on the manga implying it destroys them on the Molecular level.

Kaname's been able to avoid whip attacks from A Class characters like Kurama, meaning he should have reaction time comparable to the speed of his own projectiles considering Yusuke is relevant to their speed and Kurama and him are on relative par.

However he cannot travel this fast or keep up with characters that speedy in close range as shown in his fight with Hiei, meaning if Yusuke managed to close the distance on Sniper he would have been able to defeat him with ease.

I mean hell Immediately after Hiei did this he and Yusuke got into a bare knuckle brawl to work out their macho angst that ended in a draw, so he could clearly accomplish anything Hiei could at this time stat wise.

Lady Nagant:

As a Pro Hero, Lady Nagant is naturally superhuman, while her power isn't one that necessarily boosts her stats, Nagant has some ridiculously impressive feats like surviving her own aforementioned self destruct attack, which was the size of a large building and coming from inside her own body.

Ochako Uraraka, another character whose Quirk does not at all boost her stats beyond a base level, was able to take repeated back to back explosions from Bakugo at a point blank range during the UA Sports Festival. Bakugo held absolutely nothing back in this fight for plot reasons out of his respect for Ochako as an opponent, and yet she still lasted a considerable amount of time here.

While we don’t know exactly how strong Bakugo had gotten by this point, this took place after Bakugo fought the slug villain from the first chapter of the manga where Bakugo was already powerful enough to make this City Block sized blast calculated at 0.6 Tons of TNT. Bakugo obviously had gotten much stronger than this feat he achieved before ever being accepted into UA by the time of the sports festival. Similarly, despite not having a strength bolstering Quirk, Lady Nagant, one of the former top Pro Heroes in Japan, should obviously be physically stronger and tougher than a 1st Year Hero in training like Ochako.

For similar reasons, Lady Nagant should also be above the lightning speed feats possessed by First Year students without speed bolstering quirks as well, getting her into the massively hypersonic range.

That said, Nagant’s reactions are likely far better than this given she was multiple times able to react to Deku throughout the course of their fight, dodging some of his attacks and even throwing him off her at one point. Deku even thought it necessary to sneak attack her by jumping through an entire building to catch her. This should put her as having reaction speeds as fast as her own gunfire, consistent not only with Deku managing to consistently avoid these shots, but also seeing him avoid the shots in real time.

Battle:

His real name is Kaname Hagiri, although he often goes by other aliases or monikers. We have no good intel on what his abilities are, but what we do know is that he is connected with several small-time assassinations all across Honshu. We’ve narrowed down his current whereabouts to somewhere on the Eastern side of Mushiyori, if you encounter him stay vigilant, about the only thing we do know, is he is not to be taken lightly.

The Police Commissioner's words replayed through Kaina’s head yet again as she began the 6th night of her stakeout. The full moon shone brightly down behind her on the warm summer night as she flexed her right arm, releasing her retracted rifle from her elbow and extending its scope. She sighed, “Another night, another hunt.” She stated as she looked through the scope from atop her perch at a tall publishers building. From her position, Kaina’s gaze extended over many blocks of the lower city streets painted in the cool blue glow of the streetlights across town. She checked all around the sidewalks, scanning the faces of any civilian she saw for over half an hour, but finding, just like the last few nights, nothing of note. Lady Nagant sighed again, wondering if it was high time she moved onto her next position, when out of the corner of her eye, she noticed something on a Balcony off the side of a skyscraper 600 Meters out.

….

Kaname Hagiri leaned against the Balcony of a secluded rooftop Bar, beer in hand as he stared unblinkingly at Mushiyori’s town hall down the road. Someone had paid him a lotta money to assassinate some Judge who allegedly was being paid to give convicts lighter sentences, not that he cared whether or not it was true. It was going to be awhile. He went to take another sip of his drink when suddenly, he felt something was off and he was in danger. In an instant, his bottle shattered in his hand as a spiraling violet bullet pierced through. In slow motion, Kaname, the Sniper’s, eyes blinked and then shifted two his left, away from the bullet towards the source of its path, a magenta glint of light coming from atop a building a few blocks west of him.

“That was your Only warning Shot..” Sniper heard a stern woman’s voice coming from the Bullet now embedded in the wall behind him as he stared back at his rival's position.

“You won’t like where my next shot goes, and I Don’t Miss. Now put your hands up and surrender, Hagiri.”

Sniper’s eyes opened wider and then narrowed at that name.

“Hm” he said with a slight chuckle “Very poor choice of words.” Sniper commented, raising his hands up, his Demonic energy pouring into the broken bottle shard he still held in his hand, pointing it back to sender.

Fight!

With a flick of his Finger, Sniper Shot the Bottle through the air at incredible speeds heading directly towards the enemy sharpshooter. Nagant recoils back in surprise and instinctively shoots at the projectile herself. The shots collide in midair creating a sonic shockwave that shatters the glass of a nearby building. Without missing a beat, Nagant points her arm back towards the balcony but finds Sniper nowhere to be seen.

“He must have ran inside the building.” Nagant said, suddenly jumping off the roof and beginning to skip through the humid evening air. “He won’t attempt to hide inside, he knows I’ve ID’d him and the police will search the place top to bottom shortly, the only choice is to try and escape” she spoke, perching herself on another skyscraper with full view of the front entrance, Parking Garage and alleyway of the building Sniper was in. “All I have to do is keep him in my sights.” Lady Nagant thought, bringing her rifle to her eye, focusing back and forth between the building’s three exits ready to take Sniper the second he stepped out.

Her ears perked to the sound of a loudly increasing Engine roar when suddenly Sniper burst through the 4th story window of the parking garage on a motorcycle. Nagant scrambled and shot towards the villain's unexpected location, but wasn’t fast enough as the vehicle landed on a highway overpass. Sniper turned towards Nagant as he rode by. “Your first mistake was the warning shot…” He shouted coldly, reaching into his jacket and pulling out a handful of marbles. “That was the only shot you were going to get at me!” Suddenly Sniper began flicking each of the marbles towards Nagant in rapid succession as he rode by. Nagant saw the speed at which they were moving and began firing at them in retort. There were multiple explosions midair but there were too many to shoot down. With expert speed Nagant rolled out of the way of the shots. Several of Sniper’s Marbles penetrated through the edge of the building and broke that chunk of the roof off, causing the ground Nagant stood on to collapse from beneath her, onto the city streets. Nagant managed to use airwalk to maintain her footing as the concrete crashed into the pavement with a loud impact, sending dust all around the area. A water tower behind Nagant on the roof began to collapse in on itself from the damage and fell towards her. Thinking quickly, Nagant shot her Rifle towards the building, launching her skyward out of the tower's path and positioning herself over the freeway. Nagant saw Sniper riding further away and her eyes narrowed with determination. “You’re not getting away from Me!” she proclaimed, firing her Rifle in the opposite direction to propel herself forward.

Sniper glanced into his side mirror and noticed his assailant hot on his trail in the air and sighed. Reaching into his coat again, he, this time, pulled out a pistol and quickly turned around and began firing at her as he continued riding away. Nagant didn’t let up as she returned fire, she easily managed to avoid the pistol bullets and shot towards the side, her bullet curving around in a crazy angle before coming back, hitting Sniper’s gun from the side and breaking it in two.

“Grr” Sniper growled as he poured his demon energy into the handle and shot That back at her.

This time, Lady Nagant was ready for him to do something like this and already fired a follow up shot towards it. Nagant’s bullet collided with the many chambered bullets of Sniper’s Gun only a mere two meters from his body causing him to shield himself with his jacket from the debris. Cars zipped by, blaring their horns from the shrapnel. A news copter focused its spotlight on the motorcyclist, taking notice of the high speed chase going on, giving Lady Nagant a much clearer shot.

“Oh Great.” Sniper said sarcastically at how noisy this getaway had been. “Gotcha” Nagant said with confidence as she fired a Bullet on a true path for his rear wheel when, unexpectedly, Sniper reared his Bike up and drove it off the freeway bridge, causing her shot to miss and her to briefly lose sight of him before he landed in the suburban streets below. “Damn” Nagant said coldly as she hurried to the spot he jumped from and looked out at the surrounding area but saw nothing.

“That's quite the Quirk you’ve got there Hagiri!” She yelled loudly to be heard over the traffic and helicopter. “But I've faced my fair share of Telekinetics before, if you’re hoping to beat ME in a shootout….” Lady Nagant started but soon found her voice drowned out as the sound of the Helicopter grew louder and louder. “Gah” She gasped as she turned around to see the Chopper flying towards her at high speeds, fear on the pilots faces as it wasn’t responding to their controls. Thinking quickly, Nagant fired her rifle and blasted herself out of the way of the chopper's path, narrowly dodging it. “AHH!!” Nagant cried out in pain as something grazed her right leg, wounding her as she lost some altitude.

Nagant caught herself a few meters down and turned to see Sniper sitting on his bike, peeking out of an alleyway 500 meters down, with a handful of pocket change. He fired another barrage of coins at her, but she managed to jump to the right and avoid them. “Not good enough, little Boy” Nagant commented as she shot back, her bullet soared past him and shot down a utility pole behind his position. Dozens of electrical wires snapped as the tower toppled practically right on top of Sniper, forcing him to fall down into the alley way to avoid it right as the power went out, cascading the once lit streets into a wave of darkness.

“That arm of hers reminds me of that Toguro freak, but the range on it is a problem. I Can’t outrun it, I’m going to have to take her out.” Kaname said, rethinking his strategy.

The Helicopter advanced, spinning around as it tried to strike Nagant with its tail rotor, but the Heroine dropped down onto a building causing it to fly over her. “Jump Onto the Roof!” Nagant called out, and the Chopper’s crew bailed out of the runaway aircraft while they had a chance. The copter reared sideways pointing its propeller down and shredding the top of the building as it charged towards Nagant intent to slice her to pieces.

Sniper exhaled in exhaustion, pulling up his bike from the Alleyway. “Maybe I overdid it, better end this” He said as he started speeding towards Lady Nagant.

Nagant Jumped backwards off the roof and took aim at the Chopper's propeller, when she saw Sniper advancing towards her on his bike, holding a lit match in his hand. The two both Smirked.

BAM!, both their projectiles fired and struck the Chopper at the same time. Nagant’s striking it in the propeller, shattering it and causing it to begin to drop. Sniper’s on the other hand struck the Gas tank, causing the vehicle to burst into a fiery Explosion that launched Nagant backwards in the sky behind the smoke. “Ahhh!” She yelled as she was thrown off course and Sniper confidently smiled, too distracted to notice the Bullet Nagant fired curved around in the air and suddenly pierced its way all the way through his motorcycle through the back wheel and out the front, breaking it to pieces. “Wahhhhah!” Kaname suddenly screamed as he was thrown through the air and crashed, back first into the side of a brick building with immense pain, falling into the alley as some of his blood began to pool around him.

Lady Nagant regained her footing and brushed herself off. “This is why you don’t let yourself get too cocky, punk” she said as she advanced towards the sight of the crash. She was confident he was injured but was cautious, not wanting to take any chances with what this assassin might try.

Coming down to the ground, she advanced with a slight limp to where he landed, a pool of blood where he once had laid leading into an alley. With her rifle out she turned the corner but found the villain was gone, drops of blood forming a trail to an opened storm drain.

“Really Hagiri? You’re gonna make me come drag your ass out?” Nagant joked when suddenly an intense chill went down her spine, as if some strange force had her in its grasp. One by one, dark, Crosshair marks started appearing on her skin, on her neck, her biceps, her left shoulder.

“W-what the Hell is this?!” Kaina urgently demanded.

“Welcome to My Territory, once inside, you can only leave in a Body Bag!” Sniper shouted coldly as an entire set of dice levitated out of the sewer and started barreling towards the hero. Nagant spun herself back behind the wall as the Dice zoomed past her out of the alleyway. She watched as the Dice flew up into the sky before suddenly stopping midair, and then flying back down right towards her all over again. Her eyes went wide, “Shit!” she spat as she fired another bullet towards the ground launching herself into the sky out of their path. The Dice reached where Nagant was once standing and then curved upwards right after her in hot pursuit.

Thinking quickly, Nagant plucked a piece of her hair and quickly shaped it into a large Hollow Point Bullet, loaded and fired it back at the Dice Swarm. It struck a bullseye onto a pair of snake eyes and then in its shattering, broke into a dozen pieces and shot all around the area, hitting and shattering the rest of the dice in the process in a miraculous show of skill.

“Nice shot.” Nagant heard behind her, turning around and pointing her rifle towards Sniper, who was now sitting on the ledge of a building in front of her, throwing and catching a handful of pebbles. “But tell me, how long do you think you can keep your guard up?” Sniper said coldly as he tossed the Pebbles high into the air, and after floating for a second they rained down towards Nagant. “Grr” Nagant growled as she Fired a bullet directly at Sniper, launching her back away from the rocks at the same time. With his many injuries from the motorcycle crash, Sniper found himself not fast enough to dodge her shot. In desperation Sniper summoned his telekinetic power and focused it on trying to stop the Bullet. “HMPH AHH!” He Said as he struggled to hold it back, his nose starting to bleed from the amount of force he was trying to suppress and he ended up being launched backwards into the middle of the roof, the bullet landing harmlessly behind him.

Nagant shot at the numerous flying projectiles, taking out two to three of them per shot, while also launching herself in other directions at the same time, not giving up even for a second in her attempts to whittle down their numbers but for every one she took out there were dozens more. Sniper got up, angered and frustrated and yelled out. “Just Give It UP Lady! This wasn’t your fight to begin with! Why did you have to throw yourself into it?” He said panting in exhaustion, his Demon Energy running low. “I need to end this quickly” Sniper thought.

“Someone I met once told me, Meddling when you don't need to is the essence of being a hero.” he suddenly heard Nagant say as if she was right behind him, he turned and saw the Bullet she had just fired at him had one of those speakers in it.

Sniper’s Eyes Narrowed and he scowled, “Please…” he said as he picked her bullet up and raised it to her. “How can Anything be more Pointless than being a Hero!” He cried out.

Nagant brought her eye to her rifle’s scope for another shot but suddenly found one of her own bullets barreling straight through it! Lady Nagant only just barely managed to shift her head to the side as the bullet tore the scope off and ripped a shard into her eye, blood streaming over it and rendering her unable to see through it. “AHH!!” she cried out and began to fall down, Sniper’s rocks rapidly circling her in hot pursuit.

Sniper stood triumphantly, “This world is full of nothing more than selfish bastards, trying to get their way with whatever power they have. Maybe, if you weren’t trying to pick and choose who should get what they want I wouldn’t have to do this!” he shouted up at her as he watched his projectiles close in. She, however, opened her good eye and gazed back at Sniper with a newfound determination.

Nagant pointed her Rifle barrel behind her and flexed her muscles, her gun increasing in size to fire a massively powerful shot. BOOM! A sound rang out as she fired, and launched herself down out of her position towards the Sniper and away from the rocks, which struggled to catch up.

“You think that nothing matters? I did too….until someone showed me that it Still does!” She screamed, rocketing into Sniper and slamming him against the wall in a bare hug. “And I’ll do whatever it takes to protect those who still have Hope in their Eyes!” She proclaimed, while Sniper’s own eyes went wide, seeing his own rocks flying down to put a bunch of new holes in the both of them. “AHH!” He cried out as he deactivated his territory to save himself, his rocks stopping and dropping to the ground. ‘Snick’ the sound of a switchblade rang in Kaina’s ear as she pushed herself off her foe. “Die!” Kaname shouted in actual anger as he threw a stab at her with his pocket knife. Nagant swiftly caught his right arm in her left and twisted it away from her, her grip making him cry out from a jolt of pain. Retracting her Rifle into her elbow, Nagant followed up by Smashing her fist into his face with a powerful right hook with enough force that he fell to the ground, his face battered and bloody. Sniper rolled around on the ground and raised his Knife back up at her, pouring the little demon energy he had left into one final shot. Lady Nagant just as quickly made a fresh bullet and extended her gun arm, flexing her muscles back up for as strong a hit as possible. A Pindrop could be heard as both projectiles aimed at each other and fired practically simultaneously with a sonic boom. As Sniper’s Knife met Nagant’s Bullet, the extra power Nagant pumped in overpowered the Demon energy. It drilled through the Knife, shattering it to pieces and in a flash of purple went right through Kaname’s torso. The Sniper fell away, off the side of the building into the alley below, cursing the name of the hero that bested her with his final thoughts.

Nagant sighed, retracting her rifle as steam began flowing out from her arm like a smoking barrel. She gazed with a somber stare at the moon as emergency sirens blared, “Sorry kid, but I could tell your heart wasn’t in it.”

KO!

Despite their relatively small powersets, this was a somewhat tricky match to figure out and had a wide variety of factors to look into. Sniper and Lady Nagant ended up matching each other in a surprising amount of ways, both of them scaling to around the same level physically, both having a similar rate of fire, and considering Sniper’s ability to turn Any object into a projectile and Nagant’s ability to generate her own Bullets, neither of them could run out of ammo. Their Projectiles were able to Threaten foes far above their own level such as Chapter Black Arc Yusuke and Dark Hero Arc Deku respectively, two Green Clad Teenage Heroes who are bizarrely exactly equal to each other across the board in stats, both able to take and dish out energy in the dozens of teratons and massively upscale from Lightning speed to a similar degree. Not only does this mean Sniper and Nagant could each just instantly Kill each other with One solid shot, but it means they would have an equal amount of difficulty reacting to each other's bullets, and that their shots would be capable of matching and destroying each other’s should they collide midair. With their Projectiles being equal, both in stats and their capacity to oneshot the other, we need to look at the other secondary factors more closely to find our answer.

So let's discuss what’s probably the Most important factor when talking about a true Sniper Fight, Range. In terms of Very Long Distance combat, This was Lady Nagant’s domain. She is able to consistently score hits on targets up to 3 Kilometers (1.86 Miles) away, this is equal to 3,000 Meters, exactly 6 times further away than the proven range of Sniper’s Telekinetic Projectiles, and a whopping 15 times further away than the range Sniper can use his Territory from. To put this into perspective, check out this to-scale diagram I prepared.

If this Fight Starts from a considerable distance away, Sniper could potentially have to clear his way through 2.5 Kilometers under her sniper fire before he can even Begin to fight back, and considering his lack of notable Stealth or Mobility boosting powers compared to someone like Deku, I would find his chances of pulling that off Truly Miraculous. That’s also not getting into how if Nagant sees him closing the distance on her, she could simply make some strategic withdrawals to gain distance back, especially with her Air Walk quirk.

Things ALSO don’t look the best for Sniper if this fight were to take place at very close range, given Nagant’s far superior physical physique and top class Hero training and experience. She was actually able to throw Deku, a hero far above her physically, off of her and regain her distance when he managed to get into close range with her, while when Sniper was in a similar situation with Hiei,

….yeah. Nagant would easily dispatch this untrained psychopath in melee combat if it came down to it. Not to mention if Nagant WAS dealt crippling damage at Close Range, she could explode, and while she has shown the capacity to Survive the blast, Sniper could easily get caught up in it.

So the Starting Range of this fight is a rather important factor as if Sniper wants to Win this fight, he needs to keep the fight in his effective medium range between 20-500 meters. If Nagant gets too far or too close, he will immediately be at an enormous disadvantage. This is a difficult and dangerous game for Sniper to Play, though not Impossible to pull off assuming the fight Starts within this distance. So let's address the big question of this fight, at the distance where both of them can be effective Snipers on the other, who has the advantage?

While both would be able to hit and kill the other from any distance within this 500 Meter range, Nagant still had several slight yet clear advantages.

Nagant’s Air Walk Quirk was just a superior mobility option to Sniper’s Motorcycle. Although Sniper is skilled with his bike he still is restricted by the laws of physics with it, and has to go around obstacles like buildings to find cover and could well lose track of Nagant in the process of this, while Nagant can simply travel over whatever obstacles she needs without these drawbacks. Not to mention Sniper could easily lose his Bike as a mobility option with a single well placed shot by Nagant. Lady Nagant also for the most part dominated the Secondary Stats in this match, we have already discussed Range, but in terms of Stamina, Intelligence and Skill, Nagant just swept them due to her far superior training and experience over her long career as a Pro Hero. Nagant has tenaciously kept fighting with grievous injuries across her body, was trained by the Safety Commission in hand to hand to the point she could briefly hold her own against Deku up close, and has displayed herself to be a highly analytical thinker mid combat, constantly able to calculate Deku’s exact position in real time, and her plans to take him down only really failing because Deku kept pulling out new Quirks she was not aware of. These are just more impressive showings than Sniper who is a largely untrained teen who only recently got his powers, and only had one real fight against foes who weren’t just regular humans.

The only real secondary Stat you can argue for Sniper is stealth, such as how Yusuke was not able to find him in their battle while Deku was able to find Nagant, but even that is questionable due to just a lack of information and I feel it’d be more appropriate to call them even in this category.

When it came to Accuracy however, Sniper is certainly a great shot, able to score consistent hits on small targets 500 Meters away, which is 40% further away than the maximum distance real life expert marksman in the US Military can even be tested at. But Nagant just has a lot more impressive showings overall, like shooting Deku’s phone out of his hand without touching his skin from twice this distance in just her first appearance.

And don’t even get me started on her ability to shoot bullets that can curve around entire City Blocks and hit her target from behind. This effectively meant Sniper wasn’t even safe around cover while she was, due to Sniper never showing the ability to shoot in anything other than a straight line with his normal projectiles. Sniper’s Psychic powers could lend him some options to counter Nagant’s fire such as using his telekinesis to stop her bullets, but even if you assume he can do that, using his general telekinesis this way would likely put a large strain on his stamina like he did when driving the truck. Ultimately, Nagant’s Experience, Mobility and Accuracy advantages just make it a lot more likely to me she’d win a shootout like this.

But that of course brings up the last thing to discuss, how would Nagant have fared if caught up in Sniper’s Territory, and had Death Print Bullseye’s placed on her body? It is possible Sniper could get within the required distance especially if Nagant allows him to reach the building she is perched on before Air Walking to another for a surprise attack. Sniper’s Territory should also extend 200 Meters upwards and there's only 52 buildings in the entirety of Japan that are taller than that. In a sense, Nagant would have fared FAR worse against the Death Print Bullseye. Sniper’s projectiles in this scenario would continue to fly through the air curving around obstacles until they catch her, which is just a better version of even Nagant’s curving bullets. Nagant could in theory use her own bullets to destroy these, but given just how many projectiles Sniper can spam at once that Nagant would NEED to destroy, and how he can continuously do so, he would easily be able to overwhelm her firing rate and get her before too long. The Downside to this? Even though this significantly increases the likelihood for Sniper to Kill Nagant, it doesn’t make the likelihood Nagant will kill Sniper go DOWN. As a matter of fact, that increases as well, as established by Deku the closer she gets to a target the more accurate she is and repressive her fire becomes, and if she kills Sniper with one well placed shop, her targets will disappear and his tracking projectiles will fall. Plus if Nagant gets desperate, she DOES have the option to flex her muscles and boost the power of her sniper arm, which should enable her Bullet to travel at a much faster speed Sniper shouldn’t be able to react to. While Sniper’s victory over Nagant is probably more likely to happen than not while inside his Territory, Nagant still managing to have a really good chance even within that range, and a blatantly better chance at every single other range, was enough for me to declare she’d be the winner of this shootout.

Sniper may have been the Deadliest Marksman in the human world, but the Lovely Lady Nagant just had him in her Crosshares. The Winner is Lady Nagant.
